    FADE IN:

    EXT. Mr. UMNUTFRANKENSTEIN’S MANSION- DUSK- ESTABLISHING- (EARLY 1890’S)

    Located in the heart of America’s oldest seaport, Salem Massachusetts sits Mr. Umnutfrankenstein’s mansion. Its design is a federal style mansion, which boasts two steep gables, a wraparound porch, beautiful large windows stained glass with pretty scenes and designs. The trees covering his property are beautiful white willows, mixed with huge old oak trees which over shadow the mansion. A huge old iron spear fence, with old unlocked squeaky swinging gates is the entrance to the mansion. A long paved path that leads to his beautifully wooden carved front door. A large doorknocker sits in the middle. The landscape needs tending. THE WITCH HOUSE is next door to Mr. Umnutfrankenstein’s home. The House built in 1692, a Victorian style house, which boasts three steep gables, a deep porch, triple encasement stained glass windows. The house looks creepy. The lights from the Amusement Park light the skies. The WHISTLE from the TRAIN is heard.

    INT.-INSIDE UMNUTFRANKENSTEIN’S MANSION –ESTABLISHING

    Large mirrored hat stands are in the entryways, In the parlor furniture is upholstered in heavy fabrics, The colors are deep and rich, jewel tones, deep reds, emerald and forest greens, gold and rich browns are colors of the interior. Stained glass windows displaying pretty scenes and designs, they are covered with heavy fabrics and thick underlying of lace curtains trimmed with decorative fringe and cording, swags roped with tassels, red, and gold velvet. The walls are dark wood molding, and corices patterned wallpaper. The floors are dark wood to match the wood on the walls. The floors covered with Lust pattern area rugs, oriental rugs. There is an overstuffed leather chair, a grand rocking chair, and lavish sofa. Accessories are in abundance covering nearly every surface. Paintings and photographs embellished in gold frames. Arts from India, Africa, Australia, even Whistler’s Mother. books cover book shelves, animal trophies, Grecian breasts, needle point pillows decorate chairs, and couches, large flower arrangements in pretty vases, potted plants, and a huge stone fireplace with a nice warm cracking fire blazing.

    MR. UMNUTFRANKENSTEIN is in his 60’s, He has wild long silver hair, thick eyebrows, good - natured, absent minded, and he has moments of clarity. He dresses only in the best, but sloppily. He is wearing a checkered coat, striped trousers, red silk vest with a pocket watch and fob hanging from the front pockets. He is clutching his walking stick as he paces back and forth talking to himself. He has a Boston accent with a little English tone.

    INT. Mr. UMNUTFRANKENSTEIN’S PARLOR- DUSK

    MR. UMNUTFRANKENSTEIN: Marla, Marla my poor sweet daughter, Oh my she will be home anytime now. I promised her a date; I have not found her a date yet. Oh dear she will be so me.

    Ella the house cleaner enters the room. She is in her 60’s tall and thin with very strong facial features. She is direct and forward. Ella is wearing a floor length black dress with a white apron covering it. She is wearing black leather laced up shoes, black stockings. Ella speaks with an English accent.

    ELLA: Will you want some hot tea sir; I am going to retire for the evening.

    MR. Umnutfrankenstein: Ella, what am I going to do? I have not found a date for Marla yet and she will be home soon, oh dear she will be so upset.

    Ella: I dare say, and if you don’t mind me saying so you have been trying for many years now to get her a date, if you ask me

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: Ella, you have been my daughter’s maid and friend ever since she has been born. You love Marla don’t you?

    Ella: Of course I do, she can be so over whelming at times and very emotional, she is big and very unique in her own way, she is very strong, and

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: Oh my dear, now you can see my dilemma, what will I do?

    Ella: I dare say sir; I do not think you will ever get her a date, unless

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: Yes, yes, unless what?

    Ella: Well I hesitate to say,

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: Oh just say it woman.

    Ella: All right, I will just say it; there is always the amusement park, I hear they have a new exhibit.

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: "An exhibit to be a date for my daughter, my Marla, how could

    you suggest such a thing… When is this exhibit on display? What is it? No, I could not do such a thing, could we see it right away?"

    Ella: I hear the new exhibit is a strong man, a great big giant of a man. Now there is a date for Marla, I hear that he is not that good looking either, chances are good he’ll say yes.

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: Yes, a strong man, but is he stronger than Marla is?

    Ella: You go and invite this strong man to dinner tomorrow evening that should be just fine. We will introduce him to Marla then.

    Ella: Oh no not me, I shudder at the thought, Imagine me going to an amusement park to get the strong man for Marla.

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: Ella, you must for Marla

    Ella: I will not do it, not me sir, and if you do not mind Mr. Umnutfrankenstein, please do not let on it was my idea. I don’t want Marla blaming anything that might go wrong on me, you know how she can be.

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: Ella, I will double your pay if you… What were we talking about?

    Ella: You said you were going to double me pay.

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: Double, Pay, Oh yes you will go tomorrow and get that strong man to come to dinner.… Ella, why should a strong man to come to dinner tomorrow?

    Ella: A date for Marla sir your daughter and you could triple me pay and I wouldn’t do it. Now will you wanting that tea sir?

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: Tea, tea yes I would like some tea.

    BANG, BANG, BANG A KNOCK ON THE DOOR

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: Ella get the door first, see who it is.

    Ella: Oh no sir, It is not my job to answer the door, I will go get your tea sir.

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: But what if it is Marla? Yes, that is her now, but it can’t be, she would not knock on the door.

    BANG, BANG, BANG, Ella leaves the room ignoring the knock on the door, Umnut calls for Keoug. Keoug is in his twenties, he is a small NAUMKEAG INDIAN. He is dressed as such. When Keoug enters a room, he enters very cautiously peeking around corners with his hand held up to his forehead. He is trying to avoid Marla who tends to grab Keoug at will and unsuspectingly. Marla is just a 6ft lovable gal she thinks Keoug is cute. Marla hugs him so tight he sometimes passes out. Keoug finally gets to the door. A handsome young salesman in his thirties dressed very nice introduces himself to Keoug who does not speak much English at all.

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein:

    Keoug, answer the door.

    INT. FRONT DOOR – DUSK

    The salesman is standing outside the opened front door, Keoug comes to the door very cautiously and warns the salesman to go away.

    KEOUG: You go away! Go before it is too late for you.

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein walks to the door with his walking stick, Keoug tries to shut the door on the salesman but the salesman pushes it back open, Keoug tries to shut it again the man opens it and speaks over Keoug’s shoulder."

    DANIEL LOW: I am Daniel Low sir, May I speak with you?

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: Keoug, where is your manners, you can go, I will take care of this.

    Keoug looks at Daniel and shakes his head no, and he warns Daniel once more to leave.

    Keoug: You leave now, you go, she will be here soon, Keoug has warned you.

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: That will be all for now Keoug, you can go now.

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein taps Keoug with his walking stick on his lower leg; Keoug cautiously leaves the room the same way he entered. Keoug puzzles Daniel.

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: Come in; yes fine come in, pay no attention to Keoug, he is young and likes to play games.

    Daniel enters confidently disregarding the warning he received from Keoug. Daniel is carrying a leather case.

    INT. LAVISH HALLWAY – DUSK

    Daniel enters without fear of Keoug’s warning

    Daniel: Thank you sir,

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein on a whim takes Daniel’s hat off him, and places it on the hat stand.

    Daniel: Thank you, Mr. Frankenstein.

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein, does not like it when anyone calls him Frankenstein, he gets very upset. Umnut puts the hat back on Daniel’s head as quick as he took it off. He points his finger in an upright position at Daniel and he shouts.

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: I am not FRANKENSTEIN, UMNUTFRANKENSTEIN!

    Still standing in the lavish hallway near the hat stand, Daniel is confused as to why Mr. Umnutfrankenstein is shouting at him.

    Daniel: I beg your pardon sir, I meant no offence, I did not mean to imply that you were Frankenstein, I simply thought that was your name, please forgive me sir.

    Umnut takes the hat off Daniel’s head and places it back on the hat stand. He is regretful for the way he acted toward Daniel.

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: Please forgive me for losing my temper, my name Is, Ian Umnutfrankenstein, you may call me Umnut, or Sir.

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein raises his voice a bit and again points to the air as he speaks to Daniel and he says…

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: I do not like to be associated with FRANKENSTEIN, remember my name is Umnutfrankenstein… you can call me sir.

    Daniel: Yes, sir Umnut, sir.

    INT-TRACKINGSHOT-DUSK

    Daniel is still a little confused as he follows Umnut into the parlor. As they are walking Umnut is still grumbling over Daniel saying his name wrong, Daniel feels awkward…

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: I am not Frankenstein, I am Umnutfrankenstein.

    Daniel: Umnut, yes Sir, Mr. Umnutfrankenstein.

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: Yes, follow me, we will be warm in the parlor.

    EXT- PARLOR-DUSK

    They enter the parlor; there is a beautiful fireplace with a blazing fire. The logs are crackling, it is very cozy and warm. The parlor very lavishly decorated.

    Mr. Umnutfrankenstein: "Now let us go sit by
