About this ebook
Mic prides himself on his independence. And now, with his trusty dog by his side, even his mother has stopped worrying so much about him living alone. But when an accident leaves him stranded at the bottom of a wooded hill with no way to call out, he must rely on his dog and the kindness of a passing stranger to get him back on two feet.
Henry can't deny the instant spark of attraction between him and Mic, but with his own job worries and Mic's muteness, he isn't sure what the future holds for them.

Alex Whitehall is forever searching for their happy ever after, but in the meanwhile strives to give everyone else theirs. They hop between writing fantasy and contemporary, sometimes shuffling them together when the mood strikes. When they aren't chained to the keyboard, they ride horses, knit, watch anime, and play tabletop role-playing games. They live with a forest of aloe plants in Pennsylvania, and are just as cool as they thought they'd be in high school.

Squeeeeee.
Fritz jumped back, eyeing the toy gleefully. He glanced up at Mic, then at the toy, before pouncing again, trapping the rubber between his two paws so he could jab at it with his nose.
Squee. Squee. Squee.
Mic threw back his head in silent laughter, his chest shaking with quiet "huh, huh, huh noises. God, buying Fritz had been the best idea he'd had since moving out on his own. And maybe now his family would get off his back about how
