MY LOST DOG HEARTBREAK

Four years ago, I adopted a scruffy four-year-old crossbreed, called him Wolfy and fell in love with him in a way that took me by huge surprise. I thought the highs and lows of falling in love were over for me at nearly 50. Then I got my first dog and found those highs again, without the pain and drama of a human love story. My boyfriend loved him, too – having Wolfy sleeping between us on the bed somehow brought us closer.
