    The Deal - Sebastian Steele

    Chapter 1

Amanda had never been the happiest person in the world but Warren couldn't believe that his sister had actually committed suicide.  He'd found the horrific scene as he'd come home from work at the local fast food place.

He didn't really notice even though he wasn't wearing a jacket; it seemed like his whole body was numb and all he could think about was Amanda. He should have been nicer to her, he should have talked with her more and made sure that she was all right.

As the police cruiser pulled up to the curb and stopped Warren stood up to greet the officer. He hadn't known what else to do beside call the sheriff's office.

Everything went by in a hazy blur as the officer went inside and came back out while taking on his radio. He began talking to Warren but he really had no clue what the officer was saying.

Ten cigarettes, four more police officers, a coroner and assistant later, Warren summoned up the resolve
