    SLEEPY HEAD

This day was supposed to be another great Saturday but instead I heard my parent’s alarm clock at 6:00 am and already my day was ruined. All I could do was sink deeper into the bed and try to hide myself under the covers. I am Billy, an adventurous 12 year old and I love to day dream, about anything. I guess it's because I collect all sorts of fantastic comic books since I was 5 from my grandma's store. I am also shy and quite and my dad is usually the same but today he was different. When the sun crested over the horizon and the birds cheered in the few trees still alive in the dusty town of Pecos, my family turned into busy little bees, except for me. I am not a morning person but today was not an 'ordinary day for my family but why should they affect me or change who I am? Why do I have to go anywhere? What’s the point of going to this silly place called Rock-Pile?

One thing that there would be plenty of, would be all the stupid stories as told by my family that I had already heard millions of times.

Unfortunately for me, my family would not take no for an answer. They would never compromise. Though I am not very excited about going, even with my feeble attempts to hide my head with the pillow, pretending to be part of the furniture; Tiger, my pet dog, couldn’t be fooled. Wagging its tail, Tiger proceeded to bathe my face with his tongue, forcing me to give in. Tiger get out of here! Those words were whispered as loudly as possible without revealing that I was not asleep. My dog, Tiger just wanted me to play before we left to the park. Somehow he knew that the family was going somewhere and he wasn’t going. The truth was that things weren't turning out as planned. My world was about to get real exciting and I didn't even know it the moment I opened my
