Human history is checkered with vice right from the time of Cain and Abel. Human vice, especially against mankind, has nothing of parallel. Human virtue has not been as profound as vice of which when catalogued, seems to hold more than 70% of the human population. When viewed, Jezebel who killed Naboth, Hitler who sent millions of the human race to death, Shaka Zulu who impaled his victims on sharp posts, Idi Amin, the slave traders, just but to name a few are leaders who were driven with such a zeal that human life was nothing to them. It is doubtful if these people ever thought of the hereafter. Basically, human vice cuts across, it is found in social, political and religious lives. Vice stares at us every day in our faces, for many people, committing a vice is easy; to do something virtuous becomes a burden to many people. Christianity in its latter days has become an organization entailing a two pronged class groups, those who have chosen the Bible as their final authority and those who have been made by other men to believe that man is final authority in Bible interpretation. For the sake of simplicity, I shall refer to the first group as "Bible believing Christians." The Bible believing Christian is found in the first group, the latter group comprises the “World Business Church”. Many churches of today are evolved from the second group, and although the church is dynamic in its growth for the simple and very important salvation of man, the second group believes in a mixture of traditions and the biblical tenets where the traditions supersede.

His perception is that if you were born in Africa and the continent is your aboriginal home, you are likely to have English as your second language (ESL). Sometimes it could even be a third language. For him, he had to learn his mother tongue then learn both English and Swahili simultaneously. He went to his pre-primary bare foot, later he joined the local primary school 5 Km away and had to trek barefoot again not because his parents could not buy him shoes but because cobblers were a rare find. That journey was a daily toil of 10 Km, 5 days in a week or ~270 days yearly for 7 years. With a smirk he says that when you achieve a PhD in Africa, then You have done Plenty of hard Digging (PhD) or you have a Permanent head Damage (PhD) and you might end up in a ditch because your IQ cannot contain the booze like the local fellas!"Why did the English colonize Africa?" To keep the African languages in Czech (check), and he says that one must forgive this pun. But besides the pun, English has broken both social and economic barriers of the once "dark continent" whose forefathers slaved the white farms and firms to lace the pockets of their Lords.A PhD holder in Africa will still practice other 'trades' though they maybe 'very' learned because poverty is shameless, one has to draw bounds through plenty of smart work or else, it will be a shame to steal so as to maintain class.He published a book in 1992, but the publisher coned him , he took her to court and the case aged in judicial corridors for 12 years. He then made a decision to abandon the matter and to forget about writing books. However, Self publishing made him to change that decision. More than anything, He salutes Smashwords Inc. for the platform.In retrospect, He recalls a Dr. Alfred Sam, a friend of his from North America who was also a dean of studies in a local university, exposing his white ass in the university's auditorium to catch attention. The noise ceased as students and lecturers turned to look at the grown-up man on the podium doing the abominable. Well, the good Dr. in anthropology then simply pulled up his trousers buckled the belt and said, "Thank You, now I have your attention..."For the sake of simplicity, without much display of academia, Will Anthony Jr. is a writer in the global village market . For this, he Salutes all his readers and all lovers of written work. In a word of caution, he says that men and women alike must bear. In reference, there is an Ibo saying that every market place has it's mad people who will attempt to mar the business of the seemingly sane people. On the other hand, the English say everyone is mad, it's only the degree madness that is at variance. Salutes most profoundly!

THE SUPPOSED AMALEKITE GENOCIDE

Samuel also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the LORD. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt. Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. I Sam 15: 1-3

Well, that sounds very aggressive. The statement is a full recipe for the International Criminal Court. The decree went out that the whole of the Amalekites land was to be razed to the ground, not even one possession of the Amalekites had to be spared.

Who were these Amalekites? Well, they were the descendants and followers of Amalek, grandson of Esau, brother of Jacob the father of the Israelites. Therefore the Amalekites were cousins of Israel. The theological perception and analysis which places the Amalekites out of God’s promise is that Esau was the one who had sold his birthright and his part in God’s promise was therefore nonexistent. He had been part of God’s covenant people until the day he valued his own appetites more than what was in the future with God. So the Edomites who were Esau’s descendants, including the Amalekites were people who had opted out the great Abrahamic covenant which defined God’s people.

The Amalekites were not Canaanites.
