About this ebook
Do regret and shame over your failures, sins, and shortcomings make you wonder how you could ever be loved, much less used, by a holy God? Tracie Miles felt the same way until she discovered the path to healing, peace, and significance.
She helps you recognize that God not only has a purpose for you, but He has prepared you for your divine purpose based specifically on the experiences of your past.
Through her own story and stories from other women who have discovered God's purpose for their lives because of adverse experiences, Tracie helps you see how God can turn pain into purpose. You will find forgiveness and healing from the troubles of your past, discover the courage to step out of your comfort zone to help others find hope and strength, and be inspired to step into the beautiful future God divinely designed for you.
"No matter what you've been through or what's been done to you, if you're still breathing, God isn't finished with you yet! Let Tracie Miles help you discover your calling and the way you are uniquely equipped to make your life count!"

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I can't give this book the kind of review it probably deserves - for two reasons. First, I am not a woman, and it is definitely written for women. Second, my life has no tremendous scar (so perhaps, according to the book, God has no great use for me). I am handing the book to another who is in more of a position to evaluate it (she is a woman with great pain in her past). As she reads it and discusses it with me, perhaps I will be in a better position to write a more meaningful review.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A powerful book; especially for those women who had difficult past situations! God is working in these pages and should prove to be helpful to anyone going through rough times. Healing and freedom can be found and is within reach for those who need help. This book points folks in the right direction and is appreciated! Thanks to Tracie Miles for her insights.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I began reading this book, thinking that it was aimed at the general reader who may or may not have a God-centered point of view of life. But once finished I think it best serves the person who has at some point or another made a commitment to Christ, and is now unsure of how he or she is perceived by God, perhaps because of doubts about their own spiritual walk, or because an experience from the past continually comes back to thwart their spiritual growth. I think this happens in virtually every Christian's life at some point or another as the author points out - the devil is very good at planting seeds of doubt about God's unfailing love - and as our society is based upon performance it is easy to believe that one's sins and failures put one outside of God's encompassing love. But this is a lie - as the author reiterates throughout her book - and she encourages each person to find the way that God will use the experiences of one's life - both good and bad - to His Glory. The format includes the author's personal story, her scriptural backup for what she says, and the stories of other women who have faced sin and challenges and experiences that have been used to bring glory to God as He redeems the situations. Purpose Ponderings at the end of each chapter provide opportunities for the reader to work through his or her own issues. While clearly aimed at women, this book can also be beneficial to male readers.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5i received this book as an advance copy and i have got to say that every page touched my heart. it seemed like no matter what subject the author was writing on i felt her hand on my soul. this is a very deep book that reaches into the parts of the soul that has been so badly bruised and soothes it with a balm. i felt that this book was an excellent choice for me to have been blessed with. there were so many ways that they author approached each section of pain. she told a story about her own life, a story about another woman's pain and then had a study at the end to explore it even deeper. because of the time constraint of having to read to give this review i was unable to do the study but because it was so deep i am anxious to re-read it and take my time with digging deeper. i just can't say enough good about the readability of the book, the compassion and genuineness of the author and the many ways in which this book had a part in beginning to heal some of my many hurts. this is a book that any woman who has been hurt should read and i think that could be all of us. excellent beyond words.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5WOW! An amazing book. I read then reread it. There are some areas that offered great insight into my own life as the authored shared hers. I laughed and cried as I read through the book. I would heartily recommend it to women who have made poor choices in their youth and are struggling with the consequences of those choices. It is a book that will help many on the road to recovery from past mistakes.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Many times we look at other women and marvel at how confident and strong they are, wishing we could be more like them. Little do we know, they – like us – are wearing a mask. Underneath they are struggling with feelings of fear, regret, shame, hurt, insignificance, and more. Tracie Miles’ book, Your Life Still Counts, takes us where we are and gently guides us into using our past to create a future of freedom, peace, and joy.Tracie uses her own story (she was a pregnant teenager and had an abortion) and stories from other women to help us recognize ourselves – where we are stuck and where can be. She also includes exercises (“Purpose Ponderings”) at the end of each chapter with questions to answer, Bible verses to read, and activities to move us forward. If you are wearing a mask of any kind and you’re stuck in a horrible cycle of pain and anger, it’s time to take charge and change your future. You may not think you can, but by using Tracie’s book and taking one little step at a time, you can be a confident and strong woman.I especially appreciated Tracie’s book because it reminded me that everyone has something they’re dealing with and everyone needs compassion – no matter how together they look on the outside.
