Author's Note: Chris Brousseau
When I was young I used to watch a lot of TV, then I started to play video games, etc. The best thing about the games I always found were the stories. The stories were awesome, the world was awesome, even though it was only 8 bit and not pretty and stuff. As video games got better so did their stories. Now I watch a lot of TV and still play video games, but mostly for their stories. Some of my favourite games are the Walking Dead Series by Telltale games, which for those of you who don’t know are basically episodic story games. After playing that game, I started to read the comics, then I got hooked on comics, actually, I’m still hooked on comics. I love Walking Dead as well as Fables as far as comics go. They offer great stories with awesome cliffhangers.
All of this leads me to my love for TV, I love TV so much it doesn’t make any sense, it is how I bond with my girlfriend (of 8 years) Jasmine. To try to show you just how much I love TV I will attempt to list all of them that I actually like. Which, by the way, I’ve completed every single episode available for the list I’m about to write down.
Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Sons of Anarchy, Mad Men, True Blood, Dexter, Seinfeld, Walking Dead, Black Sail, Penny Dreadful, Modern Family, The Americans, Suits, Veronica Mars, Survivor, Big Brother (I know those last two are terrible, but I love them.) American Horror Story, Archer, True Detective, Downton Abbey, Orange is the New Black, House of Cards and so on. Like I said, I watch a lot of TV.
So with all of this, I’ve always wanted to create a cool world and a cool story with you guessed it, some cool characters. So cool. Anyways, I’ve given it a shot with video games, I created a game on the Xbox with some friends and realized that you need a lot of people to make video games. Most people I found while working on that project do not have the same drive and dedication that I had, so that basically made the group crumble. Then I thought, well maybe I can make a movie or a show, but that has the same problems video games has, need a large group, and nobody wants to work for free. (Except for me apparently.)
I then discovered eBooks, I love telling stories and wanted to basically create my own TV shows. So eBooks are the best way for me to do that. I can do it on my own, on my own time, at my own pace and tell the story that I want to tell all with just my words. I don’t need a massive team, I don’t need artists and programmers and all that jazz, all I need is me, and my mind and my words.
So now I am going to be writing many different series that interest me, from Zombies to Pirates to Ninja’s (Yeah the classic three awesome things in life!) and probably anything else that interests me in life. I hope that you enjoy yourself with my stories as much as I enjoy writing them. Thank you so much for reading. Enjoy!

Diefenbunker Tales : Irony
A Zombie Novella
By Christopher Brousseau
Prologue
It was horrible. I couldn’t watch anymore. She was standing on the other side of the wall. Those… those things— monsters— Ripping into her—
Elma’s lips quiver, tears run down her face. She tries to speak, but no more words come out of her mouth.
It’s ok Elma. That was a long time ago. It’s ok.
Tom caresses her, he rubs her knotted blonde hair as he tries to calm her down. Why don’t you tell us a story Crystal? To distract her.
Meh, I didn’t really lose anyone. I’ve got no stories to tell.
Crystal flips her brown hair out of her face.
Elma wipes her tears, still being held by Tom, she gently pushes him away. How about you Tom? You lose anyone?
Not sure, that's why I want to get to the bunker. I have a feeling my daughter is there.
His cheeks are sunken in from the hunger, it makes him look older than he is. He has no time to think about his losses, he needs to worry about the present. We have a problem girls, we haven’t eaten in days.
The three of them sit around a fire, using logs as seats. The moonlight shines bright in the clearing they’ve found deep within the thick forest.
Crystal stands up, stretching her feet. We shouldn’t stick around in one place too long anyway. We should head out soon.
Good idea.
Tom walks over to Crystal. The grumbling in his stomach gets louder than before.
Crystal, you maintain the fire and I'll check the traps. I can’t take it anymore. I’m starving.
Tom, be careful out there, don't get bit,
Elma whispers.
Take this.
Tom hands Elma a knife. If anyone comes, anyone at all, and they seem dangerous, just kill them. Cut their throat. Do what you have to do.
Tom then walks over to Crystal and gives her one as well. The large hunting knife glistens from the fire. If you do kill something, toss it in the fire. Learn from your past mistakes.
Thanks Tom, I don't know what we would do without you.
Elma manages a smile.
Tom stays silent. He isn't the type of person to show his affection, but he does care for these two girls. He walks away in search for food.
I'm glad that old man is gone,
Crystal says.
That's not very nice, he's sweet.
The rustling of the
