LOVE FIRST SIGHT TILL LAST BREATH - Sumeet Verma

    Verma

    Part One

    Beginning OF New Life

Zindagi tasvir bhi hain aur taqdir bhi

Manchhahe rango se bane to tasvir

Anchhahe rango se bane to taqdir

Never Try To Defeat People… Just Try To Win themI have always tried my best to win people heart and I succeeded up to much extent. Even I had many wonderful moments in my life and that is what I call "Tasvir" and the remaining part of my life "Taqdir"….

Almost eight months are over, I have done my Master Degree in Biotechnology and I was so confused whether to go for job or higher studies. Few of my college friends got job in MNC’s, some are still looking for job, and few went abroad for higher studies. Finally, I decided to look for a job and side-by-side I will prepare for NET exam…

Since past seven months I was travelling city-to-city in search of job…but I remember my Pune trip for my interview. Staying in Pune was not a big deal for me because my school friends were in Pune …! Sunny, was there for his higher studies and Sagar, was working in an IT firm. Let’s begin with my journey.

Life is not that easy how we think it is not what we planned. Even I do not know where am I going? What will be my future whether? I will get my destiny or not…Bas zindagi jeeye ja raha hu!

    April 2011, Chennai

For Project assistant in Chennai, as I was in Chennai for my master degree so searching job is not that much hard there. I reached Chennai by morning and time was 7.30 a.m. Train was late because of heavy foggy weather. I had to be at 9’Oclock sharp for my interview, I ran towards cloak room to keep my luggage, I grabbed my facewash, and clothes in my college bag, hurriedly I entered into wash room to get ready for my interview.

Travelling from Chennai Station to the venue hardly took 60 minutes and the time was 8’o clock, I caught local train. It was 9.30 a.m. When I reached SRM University for an interview, I was late...!

When I entered to the conference hall I saw around 25 people and all came for the interview after seeing them I was bit scared…time passed like anything and all were waiting for their turn. Few of them started sharing their experiences. They all got shocked after hearing that last month itself, I completed my M.Sc exams and came for an interview…! As they all were experience holder.

I was the last candidate called for an interview, I was bit nervous. What they are going to ask?

Knocked the door…..I said, May I come in!

    Yes come in…..Interviewer!

"Oh shit! I muttered… what I saw was a panel of six scientists; they all were going to take my interview… I greeted each panellist with a smile on my face. A pleasing and calm demeanour soothed my initial tension."

    "Interviewer’... elaborate your profile"?

"I started elaborating my profile as am fresher, I started telling them about my degree, projects, internship, I had in my college days."

Interviewer…..one by one they started questioning me!

"I gave answer for every question’s properly; they were impressed by me and wanted me to join for the Project Assistant post."

Interviewer…. If you are interested to join then you have to sign the bond for one year.

With my innocent face I was looking at them, honestly I told them, I will be here whenever you need my services. If any problem occurs I will inform you but I am ready to join it immediately.

Interviewer…...they started telling about work profile. I had to travel place to place for collecting samples…are you ready to travel?

    Yes sir …I said.

Interviewer…if you want time to think take your time, but let us know within two days.

Yup sure sir…thanks… I said! Finally, I completed my interview by gracefully thanking the panellist for the interview.

My interview got over and I was thinking next what to do, as my train was at 10.30 pm for Pune. I looked out of the window, a typical Chennai afternoon with the sun blazing down. The place where I was is almost 44 km from the city. I went to canteen to have something; I looked around the canteen where our gang used to seat during lunchtime. I still remembered the day when we friends fought for aalu paratha. Actually, what happened that day, we ordered aalu paratha but at the counter, he told us right now it is not available; you have to wait 20 minutes. Therefore, we thought it is better to have something else other then parathas. According to wish, everyone ordered whatever he or she wanted to eat.

Tushar, who came very late, when we completed our lunch, ordered something at the counter. After few minutes he came and joined the rest of the gang. He came with aalu paratha! Hey, how you got parathas. They told us it would take time…ok no problem, let me take bite from you…I said and started moving towards Tushar’s plate.

Tushar lifted his plate and kept out of my reach. Hey, you cannot even share parathas with your friends. Tushar replied…I will even give my life for you but right now I am very hungry so no chance to share. Harsha and Divya burst into laughter with this little fight. How strange were those old memories that haunt us, without our being able to get rid of them?

I recalled the day we people used to go for movie, late night parties, etc as I headed towards the bus stop. I got in the bus and went to the city centre; I called up few of my friends who were in Chennai." The day was quite boring as all of my friends were busy with their work. I was roaming around the city unnecessarily and the climate was too hot. Anyhow, I had to end up my day alone.

Softly the evening came, with the sunset, it was the cooling hour. I walked alone by the beach. The beach had always been a place to enjoy with friends, searching seashells in sand and crabs or just gazing around until sunset. I have always loved the beach, the smell of the salty water, the wind on my face, the gentle roar of the waves…! I was missing all those moments, which I spent at the beach with my friends.

Couples around the beach, families having fun, people enjoying horse riding, I loved to see all of them. It was my last trip of Chennai. Do not know when I will be back again. Memory is like a film, which we alone can watch. "My college, hanging out with friends, birthday party celebrations" some of the most memorable trip with my friends which I am missing so much. Friends are the most important part of my life and I will never forget the days I spent with them!

However long we live, we never forget the best time of life. For me starting from my childhood till now, my college life was the best part. Let us get flash back to my College life. Harsha, Divya, Tushar they were my graduation friends. We all came together Chennai for Master degree, but due to some reason I got admission in another college. There I met Sudhin, Arjun, Satish, Arun they became my roommates. Sudhin and Arjun both belonged to Kerala (gods own country), Satish belonged to Ooty and Arun was of the cutest person I have ever met, simple, innocent, belonged to Madurai.

College changes your ideas of entertainment in a way nothing else can. College has changed my life; I love all my new frendz. We go to classes. We sleep very little. We share party too much. We live very different from how we used to live earlier. We are forced to think about the future. We are scared and confused. We reach out for things, yet we do not find them. College is a great experience and is a very serious time of my life. It is also a time for me to have fun and experience what life has to offer.

"Suddenly my phone rang, Sumeet kaha hai bhai, train kitne baje hai"? Asked Sagar.

"Main bas beach pe hu yaar, train 10.30 ko hai"...I said.

Tik hai jab train nikal jaye to bata dena aur kal, main station pauch jaunga lene Sagar said.

"Tik hai yaar kal milte hai bye gn sd tc"...I said and rang off.

Tears rolled down my face...badly I was missing my friends

Someone from behind "Anna time enna achi" (what is the time)?

"Its 8.30 machi"! (machi is a slang used in tamil, way of addressing friends).

Felt lonely and tired of staying alone, I wanna go Where my mind can have peace, "Where I can breathe freely, fill my desire, my wish, my aspire"! Koi tension na ho…..Bindassssss!

"ohhhh!!!!!! It is too late and my stomach started contracting with hunger pangs, I was damn hungry. It was time for dinner.
