Christine looked across at the tall, muscular, thuggish-looking fellow who was sitting opposite her. He was staring down at his coffee, as he tried to think of something to say to impress her. She stared at his shaved head and tattooed neck. She had always liked her men rough around the edges and he was more than qualified for that role. He wasn’t stupid, but his accent and the way he stumbled over every word did make him sound a bit thick. Perhaps he was just nervous, or maybe he was somewhat intellectually challenged.

It made little difference to her, because, either way, she would soon have him eating out of the palm of her hand. She knew these types of men like the back of her hand.
