About this ebook
Rich heiress is kidnapped for no apparent reason. Her plane crashes into dense forested area where it just happens that a police detective is taking a much needed rest from his undercover operations. He guides her back to civilization and safety. Her ordeal is over, or is it. Although "Hunted Heiress" is a formulaic romance, the setting makes it somewhat different from most romances. It is somewhat annoying and amusing at the same time; for example, remember that the heiress is such a whiny little pain in the rear who has never in her life slept on the ground, or so much as seen a bug, let alone been swarmed by them. She readily adapts, however, to find herself attracted to her rescuer in spite of his "common" social standing. For a romance, this is both an amusing and entertaining short story. I would recommend this book to fans of romances. Also, if you have never read a romance, and think you'd like to try one, this is a good one to start with.

Reviews for Hunted Heiress
5 ratings2 reviews
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a routine, quickie romance. Rich girl is kidnapped and taken on plane. Plane crashes. She escapes with the help of a young strong cop, who just happens to be camping in the area. They spend two days and nights hiking to the nearest town, where she calls her rich father for help. However, there is one small glitch—the kidnappers are not ready to junk their kidnapping plot. Can the young girl escape again? How will her new cop friend figure in all this—or will he figure in it? The plot is very ordinary. The setting, out in the woods, with only the camping supplies and equipment the cop has brought along and the young woman of the world who doesn’t even know how to open a can let alone cook a meal over an open fire, is a bit different and adds to the story. The hardest thing for me reading this book was the fact that the conversion program that was used to convert this to a kindle format made the book awkward to read. I am glad it was a short read. The author shows a lot of promise with this work. The characters and storyline are quite good. I recommend it to anyone looking for an easy, short chick lit type read. I received this book from Library Thing to read and review.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a short book in length but it is long on laughter. The author perfectly captured the nature of the old fashioned “bodice ripper”. The overused cliches and the over the top characters made this an excellent spoof' I truly like this author and love her sense of humour. I'm looking forward to reading the next book.I received this book for free in exchange for providing an honest review

Chapter 1
A beautiful sleek figure was walking down the vivid New York street at 10a.m. on a sweltering Friday morning.
Strutting her stuff, Miranda Caldwell had a plane to catch – a beautiful weekend planned for the heart of France.
Taxi!
she voiced accompanied with an elegant flick of her wrist signaling the driver.
Pulling to the curb, the cab driver stopped his vehicle and helped the gorgeous creature with her luggage.
Holding the car door for her he asked her, Where to miss?
JFK please…
Pleasant yet a bit longer than usual, the drive was uninterrupted. Miranda Caldwell was the daughter of one of the most influential businessmen in the decade, Harrison Caldwell. Caldwell Enterprises, the nation’s leading oil business, was a fairly new company to the oil industry in comparison with its rivals, and skyrocketing in business.
This proved to be a threat to those who had dominated the oil industry for many years. But in an economy today, none is lost when the entire nation runs primarily on oil.
Once arriving at the airport, the driver once again held the door for the lady and helped her with her bags.
She briefly thanked him and paid him to be on his way.
Grabbing her luggage she trekked to the correct terminal station and checked in her luggage.
The airport was disastrously crowded; did I miss the memo that this weekend is the weekend everyone gets away? ... Oh God! Will these people just get out of my way?!
Excuse me… pardon me… please move… I SAID MOVE IT!
she finally snapped at a close knit Indian family blocking her
