About this ebook
This is a collection of easy-to-read poems written over a period of many years. Some are just one verse, some are longer. The subjects range from Platypus to Gettysburg, from Dandelions to Butterfly Wings, some are humorous, some thought provoking, others spiritual . You will find them most delightful.
Elizabeth Sultana
I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and graduated from Hope College in Holland, Michigan. During the Korean conflict I served in the U.S. Navy. Emanuel and I have five children and twelve grand children--no great grand-kids yet. The initials EDRES are an acrostic of my name. I started writing poems when I was about nine years old and have continued writing them throughout the years.

My Garden
The flowers in my garden
Are blooming bright and fair;
Though some are uninvited,
They all are welcome there.
The petals of the roses
Are touched with rainbow hue;
Every leaf and bud and blossom
Is kissed with morning dew.
The naughty dandelion
Hidden in the grass,
Has tossed her golden head
