This was a great story where the main characters had been unable to really bridge the gap of their (perceived) differences in the past. And then Carol adds another misunderstanding and suddenly they're not even talking to each other anymore.

I loved the way she then had them gradually reapproach each other (very carefully) because the underlying attraction proved to be too strong. Interestingly the relationship got started even before all the misunderstandings were cleared up - showing the capacity to forgive has more power than any grudges held.

Both Asa and Mario had their own personal issues as well, making for a rich and emotionally satisfying story. I loved it!
