About this ebook

The Moon Cried Blood Saga continues as young Tisha Gordon travels across country with her great-great-grandmother Letty and learns both her fate and her history. Meanwhile, her estranged mother, Joy, is on a journey of her own. Will mother and daughter be reunited? Are Tisha's tragedies finally at an end, or are they only just beginning. Who is this mysterious Nana Letty, and what is the secret she is hiding from her past?

It is said that the Wolf may howl at the Moon, but the Moon never howls at the Wolf. In the gritty urban streets of Los Angeles in 1975, Leticia Gordon is forced to come to terms with many things: the tragic death of her stepmother and baby sister in a car accident, fear she’ll wind up in foster care, and the sudden revelation she belongs to a long line of powerful witches known as Lunae – who exhibit first power at menarche (first menstruation). Running from foes natural and supernatural, will her newfound powers be the turning point that elevates her position of honor, or will it destroy her like the dark forces that consumed her father? In a world turned upside down where time itself seems in flux, in whom can she trust?

    Bloodlines - Sumiko Saulson

Praise for The Moon Cried Blood series

Cycles of the moon, Generations of women, a young woman unaware of her incredible gift. A delicate weaving of history, character development and esoteric overlay that makes for an interesting saga. I read it twice, I missed a lot in the first round with all the symbolism. A lot of work went into the background and technical aspects of the writing itself and it shows.

This is not a Twilight or Harry Potter book. In my opinion, it's better. There is a very complex plot that thickens with every page. The characters, and there are many, are quite detailed. You don't know what's going to happen, even as it's happening. That has been missing with many books these days, and I'm glad to see it here.

Wow! I got this in my inbox this morning and it TOTALLY made my day:

I really enjoyed Legend of the Luna - always nice to find someone working in the genre who goes beyond shock & gore and into subtle, emotional, and psychological aspects of characters.

    Dedication

When I first wrote The Moon Cried Blood in 2011, and when I initially released it as a novel, I dedicated it to my parents, Robert and Carolyn Saulson, who have always been very supportive. Since then, my father has passed away. I lost him on January 3, 2013 after a five month long battle with liver cancer. My dad had successfully survived lung cancer just a year earlier, in 2012, and was on his six month wellness check for lung cancer when he was diagnosed with the liver cancer. It was unknown whether the liver cancer and lung cancer were related, but it was suspected that they were not. The liver cancer had already metastasized by the time they discovered it.

This is a photo of my father, on December 31, 2013, just days before he died. He is holding a signed copy of my first book, Solitude, which he used to keep by his bedside. This book is dedicated to my father, who introduced me to a life-long love of science-fiction and horror reading when I was even younger than Tisha, the protagonist of this story.

    Robert Allen Saulson – July 2, 1942 through January 3, 2013.

This book is also dedicated to my mother, Carolyn Saulson, my brother, Scott Saulson, and my nieces, Franchesca and Elisabetta Saulson. My father believed in genetic memory, a concept that is referenced in The Moon Cried Blood: Bloodlines and in Frank Herbert’s Dune, one of the books my dad introduced me to that makes a guest appearance in this story. My dad believed that he lived on in his genetic
