Excerpt - Kayla shut the door with a quiet click and turned to find Jackson watching her. No words were exchanged between the two of them, and yet both knew what was in the other’s minds. It was time. They needed this connection in the wake of the tumultuous afternoon. Kayla moved down the hall, her bare feet silent against the wood and tile. She didn’t have to check to see if Jackson was behind her; she could feel the solidness of his presence as well as his eyes on her body following the movement of her legs, the sway of her hips.
He followed her into the bedroom and shut the door, leaning against it as she turned to face him.
