    The bell jingled on the door as Roland pushed through it into the Jade Cauldron. Pausing to scan the interior as the door closed behind him he nodded, and started towards the back of the shop where they kept the selection of incense. He pulled out the list that he had in his pocket and unfolded the paper. He looked it over to make sure he grabbed the supplies he needed and began his search. The smell of scented candles, mixed with incense and sage assaulted his nose as he took a deep breath. I hope they have what I’m looking for, he thought to himself.

    Hello and welcome, the shopkeeper said, emerging from a small room behind the counter where the register sat. Anything we can help you with?

    The shopkeeper was an older woman with gray hair and hazel eyes. She smiled warmly at Roland as he walked by, watching him so intently he felt she was trying to figure him out.

    Roland shook his head slightly, Not at the moment, thank you. He reached the incense display and began looking through them for the ones he needed.

    Don’t forget to look at our selection of stones, the woman said. You might find something of interest.

    I’ll keep that in mind, Roland replied.

    Roland grabbed the incense sticks he was looking for and put each one in a different bag, labeling each bag as he went. In addition to the incense, Roland grabbed an extra sage bundle. He continued shopping and made his way over to where the shop had their ritual candles. He looked through them briefly, grabbed a set and headed back to where the stones were located.

    Roland didn’t normally look through the stones, not having much use for them. In an effort to avoid a second suggestion from the shop keeper, he decided to take a look. He idly
