    Get At Me

C.J. dribbled the ball, faked left, and took the shot. Swoosh. Ayyy! Heh! she danced, swiveling her arms in front of her, doing the cabbage patch. Who ain’t got game? Uh! Uh! I told you! Ricco, didn’t I tell’em?

    You told’em. Ricco huffed.

Yeah, C.J. laughed. The kids didn’t have anything on her. They were all talk and fancy sneakers. She was old school, shake and bake swerve.

The last time an unknown vehicle pulled up at the community center half of their funding left with it.

I hope it’s not that fat ass Mr. Reynolds. He always be taking more than he bringing.

Right! Ricco chimed in. But it was a pleasant surprise to see a woman’s size eight bootheel touch down on the pavement.

C.J. looked at Ricco who was already grinning from ear to ear. Man, chill out. You already drooling on yourself. C.J. swatted him in the chest, laughing at his eagerness. But she felt a tingling sensation jumping underneath her skin too. They didn’t get too many pairs of high heels walking through the community center. Unless she counted the director and then that was only during
