Robert Hill grew up in South Wales, United Kingdom. He had a happy childhood, carefree and safe, a childhood which seems vanishingly rare in today’s world; it was a time when children left the house along with the rest of their siblings early in the morning and were given the instruction ‘don’t come home till teatime’.
