MENTAL PERSPECTIVE
Con*cep*tion
1. Broad understanding: a general understanding of something
2. Something conceived in mind: a result of thought, e.g. an idea, invention, or plan
3. [biology] conceiving of young: the fertilization of an egg by a sperm at the beginning of pregnancy
In the beginning of a relationship, there is or should be a conception between the minds of the individuals that connect. Ideas, plans, and understanding of where the connection will go or end; are communicated here. It is at this stage…space; that a decision is made as to what will grow from the mental seeds implanted. Will those seeds be accepted and nurtured, or will they be rejected…neglected and miscarried. The proceedings are words conceived in my mind after connecting and communicating with another. My Mental Perspective of what I saw as love, if you will.
At this Moment
Spartan By Gaétan Weltzer
At This Moment
Empty your backpack, traveler…for you are home.
Elevate your feet, for the sole has grown weary and calloused.
Lay your sword across my palms that I may wipe it clean
And cast it into its sheath; for it is no longer thirsty.
Lay down your firearm that I may encase it;
For it is not needed at this moment.
Lay down your outer armor and fabrics beneath,
Sink down into the hot waters until it crowns you;
Till the mint salts dissolve impurities seen and unseen,
And you emerge leaving all else behind.
Wrap yourself in this peace,
Then…Lie down beside me,
And place your head upon my breast,
That I may wrap my arms around you
And hum psalms that will calm the warrior within
Until it's time to battle again.
Artistry we
The Obsidian Champion II by Steve Argyle
Artistry We
Out of the ordinary…
Kabuki
Tears and Song
Death and Dance
Music expressing each emotion
Devotion.
To the distant observer,
Though dramatic;
Each scene is too important to ignore—
Too intoxicating to let go.
An unpredictable love it is
Leveled then unbalanced
Like the scales of Libra
Filled to the brim,
One sided
By Aquarian waters.
Mosaic we are…
Broken pieces placed together
In hopes of creating something—
Beautiful…
In the eye of the beholder.
Forever bonded by something
No man can dissolve
Orchestrated words
That crescendo desires
Heat filled thighs
Passion filled eyes
Formulating butterflies as
Temperature rise.
Tonality has become familiarity
So much so
A pearl vibrates to the sound of your baritone
The beat literally goes on with you…
I crave the repeat.
Just For Now
Take my hand
Just for now…
Lead me to a quiet place
Let our shared ancestry consummate
With all that surrounds us.
With nature, we will become one
With each other
We shall do the same.
Utter each other's tribal name
Let the winds carry them
To the heavens
That we may live on.
Listen…Please
I will be your earth…
(Just for now)
Roam these hills and valleys of mine
Mount my peaks
Smoke this piece
Then
Meditate atop,
As I wonder into your minds portal
For I am the breeze
That clears your head
Then revives your soul
Once you've died the little death.
Rest upon my breast…
Hear how my
