I really enjoyed the story it was just too short, for a short book it was filled with enough action to have filled a book with at least over 300 pages. Wow! What a book.

Rory MacPhearson is returning to his castle only to find out that the English took it over while he was out chasing other Englishmen. Much damage had been done to the castle and his young delicate wife was missing. When his younger brother returned to the castle, Rory asked him what had happened. He was shocked to learn that his wife had successfully defended the castle up until about 2 days before. She was now on the run and Rory was worried for her. He set out to find his wife and was surprised at the reports that he was getting from his tenants. This was a well written romantic novella. I very much enjoyed this quick read.
