About this ebook

Now that Steve and Theresa have baby Maya, they’re staying home, conserving money and entertaining themselves as best they can. It’s the long weekend. Good friends like Mitch and Kelly, some cheap wine, a few doobs, two well-prepared lady conspirators, and maybe a little something else thrown in for good measure, turns a simple game of Spin The Bottle into the kind of evening that fond memories are made of.

Author

Ian W. Cooper

Ian Cooper has written fiction, non-fiction and worked for newspapers and magazines. He likes to make people laugh as well as think. His writing has a strong sense of the dramatic. Out of work and recovering from a life-threatening illness, someone suggested writing his sexual memoirs, which he initially rejected for the amount of research involved. He didn’t want to have to make it all up from scratch. A single dad and semi-retired from his most recent experience in the construction industry, Ian squeezes a little writing time in between raising a daughter and building a home-based business.

    Act One

The stereo was on, the TV was turned off. The curtains were closed and the night was young.

Lightning flickered on the horizon, but all was quiet.

Steve and Theresa had invited Mitch and Kelly over for wine and a few joints. Both guys always had dope of course, and the girls liked their fizzy pop wines and a good gossip from time to time. They had chips and dip and peanut butter cups, and Mitch and Kelly had arrived bearing similar gifts and provisions.

It was to be a red licorice kind of evening.

Best friends since they were kids flying model airplanes in the park, Steve and Mitch’s girlfriends had hit it off very well when they were first introduced. They went double-dating at the movies, ate fast food, went for crop-tours, and sunny long afternoons at the beach. Now that Steve and Theresa were married and had a six-month old little girl, money was tight and they entertained themselves at home as best they could.

Honey. Theresa held up her long-stem glass and waggled it back and forth.

    Huh.

Mitch grinned, as Steve was often just a tad gruff or slow on the uptake with his wife. Mitch saw it as a personality trait, and the marriage an opportunity to display it.
