Battered Women
Today could be the day you feel like a Hurricane
ripping through your life, destroying your relationship, your self-esteem, and your confidence. You are constantly feeling anxious, depressed and outright foolish. You are feeling like your husband is a non-resident or an unknown person, who has two completely different personalities; for instance, Jekyll and Hyde. Are you confused and walking on egg shells
not knowing which personality he would be on any given day?
Christian marriage is to be respected. You have the right to be treated with respect and not be physically or emotionally harmed by another person. It is not God's will for homes to be in trouble. It is the enemy that has brought this chaos and should be resisted, so that the counsel of God for families could be achieved through the Word of God. Marriage, according to the scripture, is a part of God's institution. It is not the will of God for women to be battered. A battered woman's characteristics separate her from others. She feels like she is at fault for not stopping the batter's violent behavior. She is susceptible to depression and isolation. She feels that if she would love the batterer long enough, she would be able to change his behavior.
Scripture: Husbands should love their wives as Christ also loved the Church and gave Himself for it.
(Ephesians 5:25).
Prayer: Dear God, please release fresh anointing into our relationship with Your love. Please allow us to be friends once more and help us to communicate, play and laugh again. Thank You for seeing and knowing our true hearts. I know that there will be change because of You, In Jesus Name.
Purpose Caused Me to Survive
If you are a child of God and you fall in the mud, you'll start to cry. Whether you fall into the mud or someone throws you into the mud, that's not the issue. What is your mind set while in the mud? Your past does not dictate what your future will be!
(Bullock) You are the apple of God's eye and the purpose that God placed in you has caused you to survive.
I could remember as a little girl when my mother would take the bandage off the cut or scrape. She would wash and clean the sore area and say, things that are covered don't heal properly.
God is our great Physician, who pours healing oil over our wounds. That healing oil and the power of God have caused us to survive because God has PURPOSE for our lives. Uncover your wounds, allows God to gently heal you today and know that His purpose will cause you to survive. I am reminded of the story of a little boy who was curious about lightning bugs. Every night, he would faithfully go to his kitchen window and look on the log that was in his back yard to watch the bugs. One night he asked his father, Daddy what makes the lightning bugs light up?
and his dad replied, I do not know son, go ask you mother.
The little boy ran off and asked his mother, Mom what makes the lightning bugs light up?
His mom answered, Um, I don't know son, but if you keep watching, you will figure it out.
that night the little boy looked out of his kitchen window again, as he faithfully did, and noticed the lightning bug on the logs. He ran outside, stooped down and picked up a bug. Just as he picked up the bug, its liquid, dropped on his small finger which began to glow. he ran into the house yelling, mommy, daddy, i know waht makes the lightning bugs light up, it’s the stuff that is on the inside of it!
i say to you, my friends, it is the stuff that is on the inside of you, the holy spirit, the power of god and the purpose that has caused you to survive.
Scripture: The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord; and He delighteth in His way.
(Psalm 37:23). I know the plans and thoughts I have toward you, thoughts of good and not evil to give you an expected end.
(Jeremiah 29:11).
Prayer: Father God, thank You for Your Word that speaks to me when I need it most. Thank You for Your Words that I needed to hear when I was feeling the bruise and pain of rejection and isolation. You simply said to me, Get up baby girl and live, you have purpose in your life.
To the woman of God, who just lost her job, to the woman who lost her son to cancer, to the woman whose husband has just left her for someone else, to the woman, who was taken advantage of and cried rape, to the woman who is dealing with inward pain and problems, God says to you, Get up, your setback is a set up for your stepped up blessings.
Purpose has caused you to survive! Get up and Live! Live! Live! You have purpose!
Victory
Just before your flowers bloom, miracles take place in your life. Just before your blessed promise is fulfilled, that's when the place of torment and hell breaks out against you. Just before you feel the hand of God's awesome power, here comes that old slew footed devil trying to interrupt your life. Your VICTORY is on the way. PUSH through the pain! Push until something happens! Tell yourself, I can make it and I am not giving up.
You have gone through too much to give up now. You may cry and sob, but do not give up.
Victory is on the way. A greater blessing is on the way that is better than anything you ever felt before. God is saying to you, your setback is a setup.
God is about to open up the windows of heaven and pour you out blessings upon blessings, pressed down, shaken together and running over.
When God redeem and reestablish you, He will do it so that you are immediately walking in the light and can hardly recall how dark and trapped your life has been. When you walk into the fullness of your divine appointment with God, you will not think of your past anymore. You won't have time or the desire to dwell on your disappointments, failures or mistakes in your orderly life now. You will be so thankful, raising up your miracles and blessings. The past will be behind you, out of sight, in mind and heart. You will be free and released to do all that God has called and assigned you to do. Walk in Victory!
Scriptures: I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait. His Word do I hope. (Psalm 130:5). For all the promises of God in Him are yeah and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. (II Corinthians 1:20). Whoever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world. (I John 5:4).
Prayer: Thank
