Joani Ward

Joani was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. Her Mom, Zora, and two brothers, William, Jr. and Kelvin, Sr. still reside in St. Louis. Joani's Dad, William, Sr., succumbed to prostate cancer in May 2007. Joani came to Washington, DC to attend Howard University, and made DC her home. She left Howard University after her sophomore year and later attended George Washington University; receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Joani furthered her education by attending The Johns Hopkins University, Carey School of Business, and received an MBA, with a concentration in Corporate Finance in May 2001. Joani is currently employed by FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) as an Assistant Director in the Corporate Financing Department, and by Trinity Washington University as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Professional Studies. She launched a consulting and internet marketing business, Nothing In Between, LLC in March 2011. The mission for the consulting prong of the business is to motivate and assist aspiring entrepreneurs create the business of their dreams (e.g., determine the business structure - sole proprietorship, LLC, Corporation, Partnership), establish the business through proper registration and licensing, and provide guidance with website design, marketing strategies, and more. Joani loves travelling, playing tennis, reading, and classical music, especially classical guitar. She also love dogs, and has 10 in her crew.
