Emma Whitten and Noah Jordan are high school teachers and best friends. Emma is about to leave for graduate school in England, wanting to assert her independence after a nasty break-up with her longtime boyfriend.

Reviewed by EmmaRaeReview copy provided by Evernight PublishingI'm giving a 50 page novella five stars. The world is definitely ending in 2012. Never again will I make excuses for novellas not having character development or much plot or anything else we look for in a book. This book has raised the bar for everything under 100 pages I ever read in the future. This teeny tiny quickie had it all. It made me laugh, made me sad, got me vested in the characters, and didn't make me feel like something was missing. The characters were developed and had history. The dialogue was entertaining and witty. The chemistry was steamy. The struggles made me want to cry. None of these statements have the qualifier “for a short book”. This author is going to the TOP of my to-be-read list. Favorite Quote: “He was as sophisticated as a Muppet”
