About this ebook
As the “Bin Laden door closes”, a new door opens! WE x ∞ is an innovative, disruptive, new visionary fiction that uses twenty second century quantum science cosmology to provide linked “hindsight” to the past, which is our present, and follows a cosmic path out of the chaos we know as the twenty first century. In WE x ∞, scientists from one hundred years in the future send intelligent e-messages, in hologram form, across the space-time continuum to thirteen quantum science labs around the world. A high speed trek from Berkeley, California, through Switzerland, China, Russia, England, Germany and Japan, culminates in a confrontation with the future in New York City. Pedersen’s science heroes engage the CIA and Interpol to thwart white collar criminals and terrorists trying to disrupt new, world changing directives from reaching the United Nations General Assembly. What’s presented? The state of our society and the path to preventing another world war.
Designed as a quasi screen play, WE x ∞ is not only a fast flowing read, it confronts you with both the realities of our times and real solutions, entertaining you into a confrontation with your own denial...future-sight, hindsight from the future. Project our world condition forward in your mind. Consider the paths we're taking!
WE x ∞ teases you with enough quantum science "faction" to take to that line between fact and fiction that will propel your imagination. Open your mind and recognize what must be done.. Future-sight ! We know you have it in you.
WE x ∞ is filled with hyper-links to give you the opportunity to augment literature with visual experience...the big bang, Stephen Hawking, terrorism, 9/11, the energy crises, and much more. We'll take you as far as you want to go: a science faction adventure that engages you with story and leaves you with real insight. WE x ∞ is a convergence between the future and the chaotic world we know as the twenty first century. A fast read that gives you pause. You'll come back again and again because WE x ∞ renews itself continuously.
In total frustration, Stephen Hawking asked Yahoo!Answers in 2006. "How can humanity sustain the next hundred years?". Here's how: WE x ∞ Face the Terror of our World Equation.

Reviews for WE x Infinity
2 ratings1 review
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I received this book by request from the author, Charlie Pedersen. He was kind enough (read generous) to send a flash drive along as well with the book in PDF form which, in my opinion, is the best way to read this. The book is in screenplay format which may throw some off that are not familiar with reading a story this way. Don't let it. It's a good story and well worth reading...in any format.'WE x ∞: Face the Terror of our World Equation' is a true internet book with links to relevant sites all over the web. It makes it a bit slower of a read if you stop to check out all the links as you go, but a much more informative one.I did find the dialogue to be somewhat stilted and clumsy in areas. I usually see this when the book is actually over-edited and the dialogue gets rewritten too often so it doesn't quite sound natural. This is the one area that slowed me down which may just be me. The story is novel with a ton of VERY interesting information throughout. There was obviously a ton of time spent on research for this and it shows in the finished product.If you like current events with futurism, conspiracy theory, time travel and some science fiction all mixed together, this is your book.

This journey via an e-quel/screenplay formatted novel couldn’t have been done without the support of Janey Willis, my editor and assistant many times over the last 25+ years. Justin and Eddie, my sons, cleaned up my tables and charts, brought my data current, and helped me with the final editing. My godson, Sam Prince, came through at the very end to uncover the mysteries of the eBook. The underlying story elements were developed over 5 years, with support all noted in Turn of the Century: 2001, copyright Charlie Pedersen, 2007, Outskirts Press. (Revision V12.0 R2.9 11/2009). This is a novel, by definition, fiction. All references to real individuals or institutions as noted in the bibliography are based on public knowledge and generally available information. Information contained herein is derived from the author’s education and experiences, granted from public domain sources, or authorized from other sources, as noted. There are no ties from this story or fictional characters to real events, except as noted (e.g. 9/11). Certainly, the force of reality is theoretical and not between our story and real people or institutions, particularly the CIA, Department of Energy, Interpol, science labs and universities, or the United Nations, for which the author has the deepest respect for. Any resemblance to real persons or institutions is purely coincidental, unless noted. Relevance, however, isn’t fictional. Statistical demographics that leveraged Wikipedia (online internet encyclopedia) are incorporated herein as the author’s work using the rules and acknowledgement of the copyrights from Wikipedia, Version 1.2, November 2002. Copyright (C) 2000, 2001, 2002 Free Software Foundation, Inc. The data presented to the UN are summarized by the author, but leverage: population data in Wikipedia; wealth and life expectancy data from The CIA World Fact Book, which is public domain information produced by the U.S. government; Poverty data from The World Bank data, 2010 World Bank Group, and the United Nations Freshwater Stress graphic, UNEP, 1999; New Scientist Magazine; The Oil and Gas Journal; and Open Secrets.org (The Center for Responsive Politics). These types of data vary by origination source, but are accurate directional data, current through 2008-10. For the points made in the story, the information is simply relevant and fact based and forecasts are widely known. Where we cross the boundary is science faction, the thin line we walk between fact and fiction that can only be crossed by the imagination. Prologue
In 2006, Stephen Hawking, noted theoretical physicist and cosmologist, posed the question of society’s survivability to Yahoo!Answers©
participants on the internet. When one of the world’s most intelligent thinkers reduces the state of our society to chaos
, we should be deeply concerned.
Coinciding with the chaos called our times, the Centre Europeen de Recherché Nuclaire (CERN), Geneva Switzerland, has been pursuing a multi-year quest in search of the god particle
, the Higgs Boson (the force particle that allows matter and energy to coalesce), a multi- billion dollar investment by European nations, the U.S.A. and others. The implementation of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) (http:// www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgLdIly2Xtw) in 2008-9 provided technological power to further quantum research into an elusive theory of everything.
WEx∞, an E-quel* spun from the novel Turn of the Century:
2100, is a blending of international suspense; science faction
; and contemporary issues, taking us around the planet and across the centuries, drawing us into our tumultuous times, and to what we’re all looking for: answers! Our society characterized by Hawking as social, political, and environmental chaos needs a new World Equation, a new paradigm… If society won’t learn the lessons of history or see the stark realities of today screaming at us, maybe we would be shocked into listening to real hindsight from the future?! Onto today’s chaotic stage, a Photon Probe
- an unmanned intelligent, light speed, electro-magnetic voyager from the early twenty second century, crosses the space-time continuum and arrives in thirteen quantum science labs around the world. When it’s proven that future-sight
from the next century is at hand: science; the CIA; and Interpol agents are drawn together in a quest to deliver five world changing Oracles to the United Nations. When both a private espionage company and terrorists discover this closely guarded secret, we’re set for a clash between the forces of positive change versus the de- fenders of the status quo and terrorism (strange bedfellows). WEx∞ draws science’s optimism and potential into our deteriorating and chaotic real world situation: Stephen Hawking’s dilemma and frustration. Let your mind propel itself to the future and ask: If someone who knew the outcome of the next 100 years came to us to propose a mid-course correction based on true future-sight, how would world leaders and power-brokers react? Would we, shareholders of our own des- tiny, continue to stand behind one of the strongest forces in the cosmos, denial?
Moral courage is a greater commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, vital quality for those who seek to change a world which yields most painfully to change.
Robert F Kennedy, 1966 http://tinyurl.com/6l82ngl (comments in written speech text)
It’s time for you to engage. Engage the mystery. Engage the revelations. Engage your future. The World Equation must change. WE x ∞ is presented for worldwide distribution as an E-quel, reading like watching a movie: visualization for our times, reading for our brains; and answers for the chaos we call the twenty first century.
An *E-Quel, is a visualized novel, in a quasi-screenplay format, offered in hard and soft cover, yet tailored for electronic reading. An E-quel is usually an adaptation of another
novel delivering a story reorganized in a dialogue-based format so the reader can view the book in a form that is adapted to eye and mind friendly E-reading, (i.e. Ipad, Kindle, Sony E-book, B&N, etc.), or E-viewing on PCs, smart phones, etc., but still works in traditional hard and soft cover.
An E-quel uses Scenes instead of Chapters, can be tied into super-acts, scenes, and sub-scenes
(flows of scenes that are closely correlated in the storyline).
Terms, like screenplays, visually take the reader to the next scene:
CUT TO: Flow to a new location
CUT BETWEEN: Flow to a scene split between multiple locations (e.g. two ends of a phone)
EXT: an external location
INT: an interior location
FLASHBACK or FLASHFORWARD: Going to an- other time
FLASHOVER: a re-do of another scene
Google earth®: a proprietary Google Inc. term used in this context as a verb to take you visually from a location to a satellite view of above and then zooming down to a new location.
POV: looked at from the visual Point of View of a particular character
FADE OUT; FADE IN Visually leaving one scene by losing focus and refocusing on another
…Other terms that should be self evident.
So here we are: from social chaos to the theory of everything. In a world of turmoil and discovery, maybe if two centuries and three continents put their minds together, WE can find the Theory of everything that matters.
As the curtain opens, move your mind forward, pause, and look back through the quantum lens of the future, by yond denial. You were taught the world was ABC Maybe it really is ACB. Your acceptance of Counter-intuitive Beliefs. WEx∞, a ride for your mind’s eye with a hard stop at our World Equation, launching an infinity of …?

Scene 2 / EXT THE BEGINNING OF THE UNIVERSE
A black screen transitions to a fabric of black, grey, then colors that begin to agitate, move around like amoeba, and turn bright red hot! An explosion the Big Bang, and a chronology that begins about 13.7 billion years ago, becomes a visual trek through:
-7 billion years ago .the creation of our solar system;
-4.45 Billion years ago. .formation of the earth;
-1.8 Billion years ago. Primordial life on the earth;
-65,000,000 years ago…the end of dinosaurs;
-500,000 years. Homo-sapiens;
-4000 years BC. Cave writing and painting;
-1460’s.the printing press;
-1800’s.the age of locomotion;
-late 1800’s.automobiles;
-1905 Einstein E=MC^2;
-early 1900’s.the airplane;
-1940’s…the first computer;
-1945…the atomic bomb;
-1980’s… the PC and internet;
1990’s…the cell phone and fiber optic networks;
-early 2000’s.the hand held computer; and wireless Internet; massive automotive congestion; environmental, political, and energy chaos; terrorism, war, human trafficking, and economic hyper recession/ currency instability. We swiftly accelerate through a very hazy image of social unrest on route to the twenty second century. Images of troop deployment, drones, massive refugee and illegal immigration, and high tech assaults on innocent people succumb to a flash, a nuclear ex- change, and then turn to black, for several moments.

Scene 3 / EXT: Google Earth® to aerial view of Geneva Switzerland 22nd Century
Moving from an earth view of Geneva, we sweep down to a post- modern building: The International Council of Humanity (ICH). Four scientists from the Centre de le Monde Recherché Quantum (CMRQ), (a future CERN, the present world prototype): Jacque and his wife Aly; Christina; and co-worker Philippe enter the building with an Interpol agent, Gabriella Boltzman. Before entering the conference room, they tensely glance at each other.
