About this ebook
History and legend combine to create an action, horror tale unlike any other. The church has heard tales from trappers and Jesuits returning from the New World about a tribe of Loup Garou, wolf-men, skinwalkers. Disturbed that these creatures of Satan might exist, the enlist the aid of one of Europe's finest wolf killers, Jacob. He agrees to voyage to New France and exterminate the creatures. What he finds when he gets there is not what he expected.
This exciting and action packed tale is woven with experiences and settings you rarely get in a historic novel or horror story. The story is expertly built giving the reader a little more and a little more right until the thrill ride ending. Mikel B. Classen continues to provide a great tale mixed with excellence in writing.

I’m an Author, Journalist, Columnist, Photographer, Editor and Publisher and have been writing for most of my life. For several years I published a magazine about Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. I live in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan. (Take a look at my website: htttp://www.mikelclassen.com ) I've been a journalist and magazine writer for 30 years. Now, while I'm a journalist at heart and still produce work, I'm focusing more on writing fiction. I'm also working very hard on new fiction projects and my writing is always ongoing and full time. Two of my stories, "Senn's Vampire" and "Ulith Elder" were published in the "Vicious Bites" vampire story anthology. Two others, "House of Seances" and "The Late Hero" appear in the "Vicious Spirits" anthology. My short story "M'Ganga's Curse." was published in the "Vicious Dead" zombie story anthology and is going to appear in Panic Press' anthology "DEADication." I won First Place in the 2010 ViNoWriMo (similar to the NaNoWriMo only more intense) competition with my entry "Children of Destruction." (Diligently working on rewrites) As a result it will be published later this year. I have founded a publishing concern called Netbound Publishing, originally to self-publish, but now it is becoming quite a bit more than that. It can be found at http://netboundpublishing.com.

Jacob sat drinking in the warmth of his fire when he felt the eyes. He was good at that, feeling when something was near, watching. His hand clutched his weapon, its silver reflected moonlight and firelight together in a dancing combination. The creature had been stalking him and he was ready. It would only be a matter of time. The fire blazed bright, the night was heavy and over the great Lake Superior the full moon hung high.
Suddenly, a flash in the firelight, teeth were all he saw of the beast in the night, a deadly demon, snarling and gnashing. He could smell the fur, the fetid breath. It was the wolf, creature of darkness. He side-stepped its first charge and watched as it slinked around the edges of his camp. Again, it leaped and this time he caught it around the throat with his left hand. It tore at him, snarling, as he brought his knife into its throat. Blood gouted into his face and a canine scream filled the night. Death was a certainty. Jacob had seen to that.
Then, before him on the ground was an Indian, lifeless and still, a moment before, there had been an animal. Loup Garou,
he spat.
