About this ebook

In The Game, Lucas White is haunted by the memories of his adventure at the bar. He sees the mulberry man in his dreams, and spends his days checking his lips for signs of the juice. After a fiasco at his niece's Easter egg hunt, the visions of lavender hair will not leave Lucas alone, and his sister stops letting him visit.

The separation from her imagination and laughter brings him to the edge of his sanity, and when his sister calls to ask him to take Cassie to her school's party, he accepts, with thanks. While skating with Cassie, Lucas is hit by the fruit again, and transported to a game of life and death.

This is a short story in the Shades of White series, which starts with The Bar, also available on Smashwords.
