What others are saying about
The 10 Day Colitis Cure
Mark's book is an amazing and gut-wrenching journey that is a powerful testimony to how a life-altering, chronic disease can be cured with such simple, but often overlooked, remedies. His book is a perfect example of why I chose to leave medical school and focus on teaching people simple inexpensive, and natural remedies to prevent and treat many common diseases. While the natural approach may not work 100% of the time, Mark's book shows how it can work in an amazing way for even severe illnesses. His book is worth reading for anyone suffering from colitis. I cringe to think of all those people who've had radical surgeries or other harsh treatments who could have been cured from colitis simply and naturally.

Chapter 1
Whadya Mean – I've got Ulcerative Colitis?
When I was about 30 years old, I moved from New Jersey to Arizona in search of better weather, a better career and as an escape from a failed business venture. I left my friends and parents behind and entered the computer programming profession, of which, I knew very little at the time.
The stress was significant, yet I kept it inside. At my new day job, I started binging on coffee with lots of milk and sugar, probably 5 – 10 cups a day. It was my vice to get through the day. I studied like mad on my off time to learn the ins and outs of programming.
My new job was a big switch for me, both mentally and physically. I had gone from Mr Outdoors, Mr Independent, to Mr Stuck-in-a-Cube, Mr Work-for-the-Man. I struggled daily with the thought of, Is this it? This is what I do for the rest of my life?
I also loaded up on pizza, 4-5 slices at a time and a six pack of beer on the weekends. At that time, I weighed about 170 pounds, which was about normal for my height of 5 foot 7 inches.
The stress of this change, a sedentary lifestyle, and a poor diet, quickly took a toll on me and when the flu went around the office, I caught it, but good! I went on a dose or 2 of antibiotics, and finally got through the cold that had kept me out of work for a couple of weeks.
During that first summer in Arizona, the weather swelled to over 120 degrees and lasted that way for an entire week. At that point, I knew Arizona was not going to work out for me and I started making plans to move to San Diego, CA, where the weather was supposedly much better, but the cost of living was much higher.
Two weeks before the move to San Diego, something pretty alarming happened to me. I went to the bathroom and after my bowel movement, I looked in the bowl and saw bright red blood - about a teaspoons worth.
I still knew only a little about programming and worried about how I was going to get a job and afford
