About this ebook

There’s something very special about Boo’s poo.

Like most kids at Dry Gully school, Gray lives on a farm. Gray’s dad works in town and his mum is ‘alternate’ and she sees things others don’t. Gray does too, but he’d never admit it, until the day his class makes toffees for the fete. There’s some kind of big slug that keeps stealing the toffees but no one else sees it.
When Gray’s mum is watering her garden from the bore something comes up from deep underground and plops onto the lettuce. It’s Boo, a slug with big eyes. Gray puts him in a jar and discovers he talks: Boo’s come up to the surface trying to find his brother, Hick, the toffee thief, and take him home to where they live, deep underground. Boo though poos diamonds. He’s made enough to fit in a small zip lock bag, and Gray knows if he kept Boo forever he’d be one very rich kid. But he likes these two critters and promises to help them get home, somehow.
There’s an abandoned coal mine nearby, trouble is, 35 men were buried alive down there fifty years ago and no one’s been in the mine since.
Until now.
