About this ebook
If the fifty States took charge of their economies, their social issues and their energy policies, what would be the implications? One State has done just this, in defiance of Federal law, and is experiencing an economic renaissance while the rest of the country languishes in an inflation-driven depression.
And the Federal government is not amused.
A medium of exchange based upon the gold standard, futuristic technologies that have made the State an exporter of energy, a State-encouraged base of innovative industries that attract investment from across the globe, a social system of benefit to all its citizens, and an immigration system resistant to invasion: all of these efforts have raised the State to preeminence within the other States and the world.
In response to an intractable depression, U.S. President Rivera, has become the Nation’s most autocratic Executive, exceeding any war-time leader. He cannot allow this State to continue its maverick ways or other States may follow. Yet how to rein-in the defiant one without creating revolt in the other forty-nine is a dilemma. To devise a crippling, Federal response, he needs intel; he needs a spy. For this he reaches into the Homeland Security’s feared Department of Domestic Disturbances (DDD) and taps Agent Joshua Stillwater.
Stillwater is now forced to return to his home State after a fifteen year, self-imposed exile. He reluctantly complies and steels himself to this act of betrayal. Will he be received by the friends of his youth with open arms, or will they just be armed?
State of Mine not only predicts the pending destruction of our economy from Federal super-charging of our money supply, but provides answers to this problem as well as social issues that plague our country. The U.S. can be a bubbling laboratory of innovative answers from fifty different sources.
If the Federal government allows it.
As wide as the plains and as high as the Tetons, STATE OF MINE is a high-octane thriller destined to entertain and provoke controversy.

This is the author's first published works. He is a long-time entrepeneur and inventor (holding eight patents with numerous claims). His business life has taken around the world and he has seen the economies of developing nations rise, while viewing the decline of the American economy. These experiences fused with a politically-active past have led him to his first set of novels, the political thriller trilogy, STATE OF MINE.
