Drum Kit Lessons (Advanced Part Three) - Dan Jacobs
Introduction
Learning the drums is great fun! The best part about being a drummer is performing on stage where you will want to feel confident and safe in the knowledge that your playing will be completely controlled with no need to worry about difficult drum grooves or fills.
You can achieve the muscle memory needed for your playing to flow with ease through regular practice.
Whatever level you’re at, with so many exercises to master, it can sometimes seem confusing when deciding what best to practice to get to the next level. This is where Dan’s Drum Lessons will help you.
This ebook is the last in a series of five, a progressional drum course which can be used by both teachers and students of the drum kit. Covering styles, independence exercises, drum fill ideas, rudiment orchestrations and techniques used by world-class professional drummers.
Working through this ebook will enable drummers of all abilities to play with much more freedom and control, meaning you can think less about the intricacies of what you’re doing, and have more fun when performing as your sticks flow effortlessly around the drum kit.
Each drum lesson in this ebook has a suggested starting tempo so working with a metronome is a great idea. Work through each exercise many times until you can play with minimal thought but maximum control before increasing the tempo.
