About this ebook
Silkation, Lord of Haven, helped to bring Queen Maris to the throne of Anthica and has become her trusted friend and advisor. However, riches, power and magic cannot buy safety for Silky and trouble lurks at every turn. Old enemies will not easily accept such a position of power for the Tassanian-born former slave, and their continued attacks spark changes even they could not have foreseen.
However, Anthica faces far graver danger as news of enemies in other lands reaches them, and they must prepare again for war. Can the Lords of the Land put aside their differences and work together in the face of this new danger?

Reviews for Silky 2
3 ratings1 review
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5In this book Silky goes through fewer changes, though he goes on changing those around him. Dalton and Queen Maris, Magellan, Lord Jordan - changes minor and major, inner and outward. Silky has that odd outlook on things that lets him see the non-obvious solution. For the first half to two-thirds of the book, his life stays about the same - then he runs into a sudden reversal. It's his sheer stubbornness that gets him out - more or less - from that. Then while he's still recuperating the whole country undergoes a reversal as well. The book ends on a cliffhanger of sorts - a short-term escape with a vague plan for the next steps to be taken. But there was really no other place to stop - well, before Silky got to Haven, maybe, but that would have been awfully abrupt. I'm glad, however, that I never got around to reading Lord of the Land when I first bought it - I would have been mightily frustrated waiting for The Queen's Champion.
