Arthur Weil's poetry examines all facets of life while paying tribute to them with wit, wisdom and whimsy. He spent his formative years in Chicago, completing his BA and MA degrees, finished his PhD coursework in History at UC Berkeley. He taught in the public school system for 27 years, and went on to run his own real estate business for 24 years before becoming a full time writer. Art is a strong supporter of the arts in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has two children and three grandchildren. At the age of 85, Art recently finished a book of poetry for teens, “Eat My Words.”

    Acknowledgements

Working with Arthur Weil has been a source of great inspiration. He has boundless energy and generosity and is full of thrilling stories. He has endless poetic creativity pouring from his fingertips. As an incredibly young octogenarian, he gives his written work a sense of timelessness and sagacity well beyond his years. This, his 17th book, brims with poems and sayings that can be appreciated by all. I do hope you find as much enjoyment in Arthur’s writings as I.

    It's natural to socialize

friends were clever, just a little wise

Some dumb, some nice, some smarty

All out for crazy fun and party

We rap, listen to music, text

Do goofy stuff, not knowing what's next

Some gals and guys do explore

One or the other wants some more

It all depends, I want to stay friends

Just say No, not ever, not now

We're curious, and don't know how

Aren’t you a teenager and not so sure?

Being grounded, chewed out’s not the only cure.

    There's joy in sun

    And blooming flower

And all that lives each precious hour

Time to love flies and fleeting

What is gone is not repeating

Do not wait - you know how

So share, enjoy each moment NOW!

All of us have our inner child Let us out - go crazy wild

    Usually full of duty obligation

Quite OK to join the silly station

    And dance, laugh and cheer

    So much healthier than fear
