About this ebook
Jess knew that leaving the city was the right thing to do and it would give her a chance to escape the bullying without having to fight it, but she had no idea just how different life in Titterstone would be. Her new home would not only give her new hope, but it would also give her close encounters with pirates, ghosts, surfing big waves and beach adventures.
A feel good page turner for the whole family that will get everyone running straight for the nearest beach desperate to learn to surf.
Sarah Riley
After studying at University Sarah became a nanny on the island of Corfu in Greece. The three children she looked after for two years changed her life and inspired her to write her first children’s novel. However, when she returned to her home in the UK her writing took a back seat as she concentrated on her business career.A trip to southern India to support the coastal areas damaged by the 2004 Tsunami resulted in her making many life changing decisions, which allowed her desire to write to re-surface. She now lives with her husband Roy in North Devon overlooking the sea and loves nothing more than spending the day at the beach in their old Mercedes campervan, surfing and playing with her two daughters Daisy and Poppy.Besides writing, Sarah’s favourite things include her Custard Point surfboard, chocolate, skimming pebbles, sunshine and sandy feet.Beach Potato featured in the Apple iBooks top 10 chart for its category and has enjoyed great reviews from genuine readers throughout the Apple iStore, Barnes&Noble and Smashwords. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It is a book for the younger generation but it is a book that can be enjoyed by the entire family. Each of us in the bookclub have children and it was nice to find a series that we could let our children read and not worry about the content. Sarah touches on bullying which is a huge issue among children and teens unfortunately. But she does it in a way that is informative but not overdone and violent. Something I REALLY did enjoy in her book is the interaction of the family members. In our society there is so much disrespect between teens and parents. Sarah did not portray the family like this however. Siblings got along and enjoyed each others company. There was respect between the parents to and from the children. It made the story enjoyable. The content of the book was clean. There is no sex or violence. I did find one swear word which surprised me as her book is SO clean in its language.I did enjoy this book and look forward to more in this series. I will definitely let my older children read this book.
