This edition includes what was a four page manga that is based on a narrative section of the story. The frames have been adapted to suit the ebook format, creating a hybrid manga that does not interfere with the integrity of the text as a short story, yet enhances it contextually. The manga has been created in Japan by Japanese artists to ensure that it is stylistically modern, placing the reader in Japan and in the moment. Please enjoy!

    I lived in Japan about for about 7 years in the 90s but moved back to Australia at the turn of the century. I earned a crust teaching basic Japanese in high school for a few years before moving to teaching ESL. I studied law part-time during this period and now work as a criminal lawyer in the outback of Australia spending my time in the courts on circuit as an advocate for indigenous Australians. Writing is a hobby and a way of coming to terms with my time in Japan and the transition back to life in Australia. Anyway, please enjoy my literary contributions and I hope to get something else up sometime in the future. Maybe my experiences in the Kimberley regions of Western Australia?
