My glass was empty. Not a good thing.
Eddie, get me another.
Eddun Glocker, the bartender at the Greasy Spoon, slid a tumbler of Dragon Fire on the rocks across the bar. He had poured it half a minute ago, when he saw me nearing the end of my fourth. A good bartender, that Eddie. Knows how to keep his customers happy. And I was a customer worth keeping happy. Not that I have a drinking problem or anything, but my patronage helps keep Eddie and his Greasy Spoon Speakeasy in business.
So how's tricks, Lennon?
he asked, pouring a huge tankard of Rock Mine Ale for the dwarf at the other end of the bar.
Same old crap,
I said. No work. Ever since they legalized the Guard to carry those miniature crossbows, the population's decided crime DOESN'T pay. To be honest with you, I don't even know how to use the damn things. Loading them is a bitch.
Well, you don't have to worry about it anyway, DETECTIVE,

I just followed my nose...literally.
You see, I suffer from a disease that is more than a little bit embarrassing. Ever since they found Seflin the Dark munching on that homeless man, lycanthropy has been looked upon as more than a little distasteful. The general population did not understand nor sympathize with a citizen who would be forced to turn into a wolf on full moons and then go eating the OTHER citizens. The moon's only full every three months, they figure. Lock yourself up in your home and eat your pets. Have some class.
Now this incident happened when I was nine years old; two weeks before I was bitten by the same diseased wolf that infected Seflin. At that impressionable
