About this ebook
I closed my eyes and thought for a minute, I’m screwed. The one thing I should expect for sure is to be treated without an ounce of kindness or compassion for the abuse I received from the guard. I mean why would he help me, when I’m in here for taking the life of his brother.
“I see. So now what?” I almost expected him to pick up something from his desk and hurl it at me. Instead, he gazed at me with a warm smile and said, “He was my step brother Trixie. And besides that, I hated him. He made me feel lower than dirt as a kid”. ”He treated me and my sister as though we introduced his dad to our mom in hopes of them splitting up his parent‘s marriage”. “Any sane person knows that it‘s a chicken and egg scenario”. “His dad branched out and cheated on his mom long before my sister and I were thought of.”
He stood up, reached across his desk, and extended his hand. I stood and attached my hand to his and didn’t want to let go. Finally, someone else knew the demon that landed me here. “Thank you Warden!” With a puzzled look on his face, “For what Trixie?”” It is you that gets the gratitude”. “That man made a lot of people miserable and it was time someone ended it. That someone was you and for that, me and my sister, to say the least, are indebted to you”.
I shook my head to accept the acknowledgement, but not saying anything because I still have court tomorrow. I still have to prove it was self defense; and besides, I don’t know if this is all a set up. I just met him. Trust crossed my mind. He had not yet earned it. Thus I sat back down.
“I know how you sustained your bruises, and your new haircut”. There’s someone I’d like you to meet”. Oh shit, I’m more nervous than before I came in. Is he bringing in Mr. Hamilton and now both of them are going to have their way with me and kill me?!
He made a phone call and all he said is, “she’s here.” He sat back in his chair and reached for a cigar. It was the same kind his brother smoked. I remembered them from his desk back in high school.

I'm an indie author. The experiences I write about in my non fiction novel(s), although negative, cold hearted and harsh, helped me to achieve the strengths I have today.

Chapter 14 The Preliminaries
As the squad car took off down the driveway, I could hear my mom still screaming. I turned around and could see the images of her, my dad and my husband huddled together. I didn’t feel much of anything. I was sad for them but I really didn’t feel any shame or remorse for killing someone in self defense. It was an accident but I was still glad he was no longer around to haunt me.
I’m sure that after the crying stops, everyone will be scratching their heads. Wondering what ever in the world could transpire between a principal and student that would warrant his death and her being dragged off to jail.
I had every intention of telling them everything that happened before I ran away 5 years ago. There was just not enough time before things went horribly wrong. They must know and believe that he had it coming. I am simply not that type of person. Yeah sure, I have a temper but you’d only see the brunt of it, if I’m provoked.
I wasn’t in the jail for 10 minutes when a man introduced himself as my attorney. Mr. Trucker. He looked smart. That’s all I have on him for now. I’m still in shock, so I am barely paying attention to anything he’s saying to me. Once I get cleaned up, I’ll be a lot lighter and can process things better. Right now I only see his lips moving.
My clothes are blood stained and my whole body feels dirty. After I was finger printed and set up for my initial photo shoot
, I was taken to another room to be cleaned and searched. I was given a jail uniform and taken to a place to get dressed before being assigned to a holding spot. I’d be there until my preliminary hearing.
It didn’t take me long to adjust. Once I seen the place they were placing me, I knew I had to come alive and be prepared for anything.
A few of these women literally looked like monsters compared to what I’m used to. Even in the worst neighborhoods, I’d never seen such hardened and filthy women. The area they placed me in was small and it reeked of strange odors. Some of the bitches in here smell like they need a prescription for clinical strength panties to contain the crotch rot.
That alone makes me want to run. I’m more furious that I can’t just walk away from it and go into another room, than I am at the fact that I may not see my husband and family for a long time.
I’m not going to let it show though. I’m smart enough to know that every move I make is being monitored. By the guards and these nasty broads.
I walked over to an empty bunk and stood there. I wasn’t going to sit nor lay on it. Not just because it could belong to someone that might be tougher than me, but because I don’t
