    Prologue:

Ares looked out of the stain glassed window of his room at the top of the Mount. He kept dreaming about Andras’ and the last battle they had faced. The feel of her lips was still felt on his skin. He knew he would have to fight Edam if he ever found out what happened. Yet, he could not bring himself to care.

She was the most beautiful and passionate creature he had ever laid eyes on. Edam was already pin eying away after her; without any prevail. She didn’t trust him; it was clearly visible in her eyes.

    INTRODUCTION

    Journal entry one:

Over the last couple months, I have been on the journey of a lifetime. I have fought demons, and monsters most people would not even believe were real. I have saved the four known worlds from an evil plot devised by non other than my father the God Hermès.

No one on earth was even the wiser for it, the humans still muddled through their lives as if nothing had ever occurred.

I am sitting here writing this all out in an old journal I found; trying to make sense of everything I have learned. Some of it is still mind boggling. To give you an example I will introduce myself; not as I was but as I am now.

So getting back to my story. I was raised by Sable the Queen of the court of Air and Darkness and her companion Luke; until I was eighteen. Then my whole world was tossed upside down and spun on its head. I was told of what my destiny foretold; what I actually was and that was just the beginning.

Believing I had been an orphan I stormed off without hearing everything my lovely aunt had to say to me. Stupid of me I know, but what the heck was a person to believe after their very life had been a web of lies woven to protect them from their selves.

Later, I found out the truth though; I had not only a mother but two kick ass aunts that I have come to cherish, and a brother that was something to see. A group of friends created from unlikely creatures.

I also had a mission to save my mother from a curse that had encased her in stone. My last battle had provided me with a piece to the giant puzzle that would lead me to finally finding a way to help her. Speaking of that battle; something unexpected had occurred.

While in the heat of battle I had tried to calm the war god Ares down so he didn’t do something he would regret. I ended up locked in a heated battle of my own. Crushed in his arms while his lips set my soul on fire in a kiss that was now seared into my brain. I don’t think anything other than a simple kiss will ever come of it, because I still had a lot of things I needed to sort out before I could even worry about a love life of any sort. For now my only companion was a fuzzy gargoyle now sleeping on my lap. Fred was a gift from the Goddess Lethe’ of the river of forgetfulness. I still had no idea why she gifted me with the little protector, but she had. He had already proven his worth in more ways that I could count. Putting this all on paper had made me realize what a messed up crazy adventure my life has become. I have traveled to the Underworld and faced the Queen of the Nether herself; I have been in the mist of the Gods and fought by their side to save innocent children. I have befriended Demons and other creatures of myth and lore. I have one God that is in love with me and another that gave me my first passion filled kiss. If I had to say so myself; my life sounds like a fairy tale woven right out of the pages of the Grim. Well Journal, I guess I will end my entry here as I have to start pouring over the scrolls of my mother’s journal if I am to have any hope of bringing her back from the concrete dust bunny she had become.

    Yours Truly

    Andras’

    Chapter One

I had just closed the journal I had been pouring my guts out in; when a knock sounded on the door of my little apartment. Scooping Fred up off my lap and depositing him on the seat of the chair I had been using. I straightened to my full height and walked across the room to the front door.

Turning the handle I had a frown upon my face when I opened it and was greeted by someone I had not seen since my trip to the Underworld. Minos stood on my stoop in the dim light of the alleyway looking scared to death. I ushered him with one hand while I closed the door behind him with the other.

Minos was staring at everything in my tiny kitchen as if it was his first time in a modern home. Hell, it probably was. He was visibly shaking when he had walked in; eased him into one of the empty kitchen chairs as I started a fresh pot of water to boil. Tea would sooth even the most frazzled nerves.

What do I owe this visit to? I ask Minos as I added a tea bag to the china cup on the counter. Raising an eyebrow I waited for him to answer. Just thought I would pop in. Minos said in a dry tone. I was not buying it he was spooked it was written all over his face.

Not that I’m unhappy to see you Minos; but I can read you better than that, something is bugging you. ‘I can tell." I said, as I poured the hot water over the waiting tea bag. Letting it seep I gathered the honey jar, sugar, and cream and placed them on the table. Having no clue what he took in his tea I figured it was safe to just bring out all the big guns. Gathering the two china cups up off the counter I wrapped the tea bag strings around the handles and squeezed out the water from
