I was born a southern girl, raised in Michigan and now call the south home again. Here in the peaceful rural Alabama, I am a supermom & army wife, V.P. of finance for my home, a puppy wrangler and full time supervisor in the Healthcare industry. And somewhere in all of that I find a few minutes to myself to write, which is something that I absolutely love to do. I have even gone as far as piecing together stories and inspirational writings from text messages and social media posts (don't judge me! LOL). Despite wearing several hats I am more focused than ever on my passion for writing.Fun Facts about me:*I absolutely love the fact that my office is a fortress that the kids and puppy cannot penetrate*I often find stories and poems in old emails, on napkins in my desk drawers and as notes on my smartphone that I have forgotten about.*I sometimes sneak the puppy in my office because she is less distracting than the children*If I were a muppet I would be Ms. Piggy cause she's a classy dame*My favorite things to do are writing, listening to music and eating.*I started writing poetry when I was 13 years old*My oldest daughter inherited my love for writing and the youngest my love for music*Every time I watch Shag: The Movie it's like the first time*My family does the best car concerts in the south (even though the hubby may disagree)I completed my first novel Dark Princess in January 2009 and it is finally be available to the public!

SIX – The Business of Family
Vinnie peered out of the window watching the scenery dance by.
What are we doing here?
Amiglio asked sounding aggravated.
Vinnie read the second-guessing in his brother’s comment and seriously considered not answering. With the thickness of tension between them, Vinnie faced Amiglio and replied, I told you I have a series of business meetings regarding the direction that a few of the companies we—
We?!
Amiglio purposely interrupted to show his lack of approval and even interest in Vinnie’s way of doing business.
Vinnie smirked at his brother, pitying his lack of growth over the years. Vinnie took off his glasses and cleaned them with his handkerchief. Be careful Amiglio…
Vinnie warned immediately putting Amiglio on guard. You can’t be a nickel and dime hustler all your life.
he continued, returning his glasses and handkerchief to their place.
As the car slowly stopped in front of a massive office building with windows that seemed to go right up to heaven, Vinnie stepped out of the car. Amiglio began to get out of the car right behind him. Get back in the car,
Vinnie said never turning to face his brother. You are not needed here,
he ordered.
Amiglio shrank back into the car and watched Vinnie disappear into the massive building. Amiglio was disgusted…his brother was weak and had weakened the family with all this talk of investing. To the hotel sir?
the driver asked.
Yea,
Amiglio replied.
