Why I Am Not an Evolutionist
()
About this ebook
The book provides a critical evaluation of evolutionism. It answers essential questions like, “Is evolutionism as a worldview philosophically sound?;” “What can we reasonably say about Darwinist-evolutionistic worldview as a belief system?;” and “Is the moral philosophy that it advocates sensible?” This work also aims to help in resolving the philosophical debate on whether or not we must remove God in the sphere of morality.
Moreover, the book could equip theists, agnostics, and atheists alike with valuable information as they confront or deal with the evolutionist worldview.
Hopefully, this book could also give light to the readers in order to somehow remedy the moral disarray which has become a characteristic of societies today. For readers who are serious in looking for an ethical system to be used as a guide in their moral decisions, this work somewhat offers an evaluation of some ethical theories and moral worldviews.

Introduction
WHEN ASKED by Encarta World English editor Latha Menon on what it was that first brought him to biology, today’s most famous British evolutionist Richard Dawkins, chair of Charles Simonyi Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University in England, retorted: It was not so much the wonderful natural history but the philosophical questions, such as how biology may help us to answer questions like ‘Why are we all here?’
(Encarta Interview,
2005)
Pertinently, one of the humble purposes of this endeavor is to provide you a philosophical evaluation of evolutionism. Is evolutionism as a worldview philosophically sound? What can we reasonably say about Darwinist-evolutionistic worldview as a belief system? Is the moral philosophy that it advocates sensible (i.e. plausible, reasonable, and consistent)?
Significance of the topic
Related to other philosophical controversies (e.g. theism vs. atheism and creationism vs. evolution), this work that focuses on Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution could also significantly play a role in resolving the philosophical debate on whether or not we must remove God in the sphere of morality.
