with the character Cross, shrieking and shrilling and acting like a damsel and a bitch- i only ever wanted him to die a horrible death. i got about 1/3 thru the book b4 i stopped reading. there was absolutely nothing endearing or attracting about the Cross character. so i didn't see the point finishing when i knew it would end as a romance when all i wanted was for Cross to die.
