About this ebook

Master John Boles, the most powerful Master in the state, owned Berta. Personally she considered him in the top three Masters in the country. She was proud to serve as in his security forces as his private serial killer.

Given the freedom to torture information out of her new lover, Berta indulges in breaking Adalina. Only question is would Adalina break or would she consider Berta's knives an erotic treat to be begged for again and again?

Set in the Debts to Recover universe, Controlled Edge is an erotic story of what goes wrong when spies go up against serial killers with a taste for blood and mutilation.

Note: This story contains both consensual and nonconsensual knife play, blood play, bondage, and domination and submission. Those who have issues with these themes should read with caution.

    Controlled Edge - Meyari McFarland

    Controlled Edge

    By Meyari McFarland

Stay still, Berta growled as she dragged her knife up Adalina's inner thigh.

The shuddering breath that Adalina drew in wasn't half as exciting as the trail of blood drops Berta's knife left behind as she scored a long thin line exactly where she'd cut later to debone Adalina's leg. There were a dozen marks already, each so shallow that they barely broke the skin. Two arched across the tops of Adalina's breasts. One cut across the curve of her belly, intersecting her bellybutton before continuing downwards towards her now-shaved groin.

Adalina had a dozen little nicks, places where Berta had 'slipped' and broken the skin. She hadn't figured the situation out yet much to Berta's amusement. So far, it was all sex and nothing else to Adalina. It wouldn't last too much longer. Berta knew how long her teams would require to thoroughly search Adalina's cart, clothes and rooms. The amount of time it would take to isolate anyone that she'd talked to repeatedly over the last month was finite. Her time was running out.

Berta strode through the elegantly wood paneled walls of Master Boles' private home, scanning everyone around her for weapons, inappropriate behavior or other signs of threat. This was only the third time that she'd been called to a private meeting with master Boles. Whatever was going on had to be a major threat to the household. The previous two times had resulted in over a hundred dead on the other side and dozens wounded among the staff.

Of course, calling the estate a 'private home' was something of a misnomer given that Master Boles employed over five hundred people at this location alone and ran the estate like a military compound. The defenses alone took a third of the staff count but it was necessary given his private war with the terrorist Black.

Maybe we have a lead on Black's location, Berta thought, her steps picking up speed from sheer anticipation.

Killing Black was very high on her list of things to do in life, preferably before Master Boles got involved in the battle. No matter how personal the battle with Black was for Master Boles, it was her job to ensure that he didn't personally fight it out with Black. She and her superior officers frequently discussed how to keep Master Boles out of the impending battle. None of them had come up with anything they thought would be effective but that didn't mean they couldn't keep trying.

Berta, Jeff Cooper, Master Boles personal assistant and secretary, said as she came in. He bit his lip for a moment before standing and gesturing for her to follow him back into Master Boles' office. Right this way. He's been waiting for you.

    Trouble? Berta asked.

...I'll let him explain it, Jeff replied without meeting her eyes.

Berta frowned. Normally Jeff was eager to discuss any issues that the organization might be having. He regarded information sharing between departments with what Berta thought was a nearly holy fervor, only withholding information when it was specifically security related. She had chastised him several times about it but Jeff had only laughed.

Master Boles' office was several degrees cooler than the outer office, cool enough that goose bumps immediately erupted on the back of Jeff's
