About this ebook
Clyde Travis inherited Frank's place - a general store in the heart of the Texas Hill Country - from his father. Life seems to have passed him by, and now his wife is seriously ill. Late one evening, after closing the store, a white Ford Fusion pulls into the store parking lot. Having drank far too much that evening, Clyde is not sure whether or not he's drunk or hallucinating when he sees four strange creatures exit the Ford. Their strange request? An order of French cheese and honey, please and thank you.

The passenger side window on the car was rolled down and, one after another, four little creatures crawled out. Once they landed they gathered in a circle. No, I take that back, it was more like a football huddle.
Every once in a while the tallest one – I say tallest, but still no more than two feet high – would point to the front door of my place. There was a lot of head shaking, more discussion, more pointing
