About The Author
Introduction
This book started life out as a blog. An experimental one at that. I have never been good at keeping journals or diaries, and I didn't think a blog would be any different. I was right. The dearly departed blog didn't even last a year, but at least it did not die in vain. I was able to turn the articles I wrote into the chapters of this book. When I gave up trying to keep the blog alive, I was most interested in keeping the information available to the people who seemed to want it. Condensing everything I had learned and researched into articles taught me a lot, and I believe that thanks to this book the effort wasn't wasted. If you happen to be one of the people who read the blog, there is still a lot of new material that has been added.
Originally this book had everything I had ever written for the blog and some extras. Unfortunately there was no focus or organization. So I decided to cut back and focus on helping writers who were struggling to get started for whatever reason, because to me getting started is the second hardest part to writing (after rewriting/editing). Forming the idea, planning the story out, etc. Everything you may need to get well on your way to writing your masterpiece.
