About this ebook

Eisenhower was right when he said to Kaleen that something was wrong with Doc E. Reynolds. The old man, who offers to bury Kaleen’s friend Mel in an underground burial place near his cavernous home, is definitely a shifty character. Eisenhower and Kaleen soon find out why – he lives under the curse and power of a mysterious horseshoe. And the Boarlicks, who roam First World and who devour everything that moves about the planet, are ruled by none other than Doc E. Reynolds. Once they realize the fact, Eisenhower and Kaleen set out to escape from the underground tunnels and caves, and decide to annihilate the Boarlicks.

Meanwhile, Dr. Edwards escapes to First World and find himself surrounded by beings that could only be qualified as ‘monstrosities’ – his fertile mind soon hatch a plan to use these beings in an attempt to conquer First World.

Michael Arnold

Hi! My name is Michael Arnold. I live in the small, boring town of Gastonia, North Carolina, located fifteen minutes from Charlotte, North Carolina. There is more excitement in Charlotte, so I cannot complain about my boring town of Gastonia, right? I assist my mother, who is blind and has been blind all of her life. However, for some odd reason, she helps me just as much as I help her. My mother would often say: "Hi Michael! I cooked chicken and I made sure I cooked enough for you!" "Thanks mom!" I would reply.I love writing. I have been writing since 2004. I'm still learning how to become a better writer daily. Stephen King is my favorite author, although I have never written any horror short stories. I enjoy reading his work because he knows how to tell a story.I chose “Smashwords” because I believe Mark Coker has provided an opportunity for unknown authors to post books online. This is absolutely splendid! I have posted a few books online. Please read them when you have the time. My promise is that you would not regret that decision.I love to read and write. Fortunately, I have a few books to share. I do it because of the love I have for writing. “Smashwords” has provided the opportunity to share what began as “sketchy” thoughts, to the development of a complete short story or novel for your enjoyment. Thanks to all who have taken the time to view this page, download my samples, books, and short stories .

It would happen yet again in another part of First World, rocks smashing the ground, ashen smoke ascending from the rubble, the shadowy midday watching overhead as those rocks that slammed so hard to the iron floor of First World, formed a kind of barrier covering an unknown alien.

There was a sound, an additional sound besides the slamming of rocks. It was a voice beneath the rubble. Beneath the rocky hill through a small opening a distinctive voice one that could be recognized from anyone who understood English lingo, that voice cried out in exhausted anguish.

Where am I? Have my eyes awaken to the torment of the Abstractors? The questioning voice was that of a man who was enthused but bellowing from pain. Yes, I am alive! Looks like I survived, but this place, it doesn’t smell like Dark-13, the man said then laughed out, as he was happy to be alive.

He pushed his blood-coated arm above the rubble through the hole, as a triumphant fighter would hold his arm up after a victory, the same for this man who held his long arm up to get beyond the many rocks that covered him.

He pushed and clawed his way forward as the rocks fell in the hole he created but he didn’t give as a second arm raised and out of the pack of rocks.

Now how do I get out of here? he muttered, seeing that he was in a deep fissure in the ground.

Mr. Draftsman decided that walking away from the compound wouldn’t be enough, not this time. He decided it must be done away with completely if he would have any kind of peace going back to Iron City and that all of the evil inhabitants (if they somehow survived somewhere in the compound) be destroyed. Galvin and Zion watched from a distance.

Watch what he does. I have seen this so many times, Zion. This is awesome! Galvin said, standing outside of his car, stargazing. Zion didn’t respond. Her eyes were glued to Mr. Draftsman and his open arms.

In the name of Divinity, creator of the Outer System, and by all things, we serve only The Article.

Zion’s squinted, her focus remaining on the tall man wearing a black robe and holding that gracious book, The Article, in his left hand.

I, the servant of The Article, come with all power in my hand to curse The Coalition’s building with everlasting destruction! Winds blew strongly, Mr. Draftsman’s long, thick, brown hair carried by the gust as if it would pull completely out of his narrow scalp.

You immoral thing be gone now and forever, be gone the evil that lives in this Coalition building! Be gone the wicked creation and I cast you out with the authority that has been given to me as the keeper of The Article and the monarch of First World!

Galvin, now drawn into the scene unfolding before him, moved a step or two away from his car and scowled when Mr. Draftsman held his hands wide open in the direction of the building.

    In amazement,
