Prologue
I see you
Purn watched as the cloud-filled sky flowed past the cabin windows. Rage boiled inside him as he could barely sit still. His goals had been setback on many levels. With the loss of Willie, a large key to his plan was now lost.
No, Purn thought, he was sure he could recover and reach his goals. There was nothing on the planet, as far as he was concerned, that would stop him now. Nothing and most certainly no one who expected to live.
Purn slid his blade from under his coat and stroked his thumb down the edge. His skin parted and coated the sides of the blade with sticky warm blood. There was a familiar tingle in the back of his head that he knew all too well. Purn licked the wound clean and watched as it healed in a flurry of blue scabs. His skin knitted closed as the final drop of blood fell on the seat. Perfect like always, Purn thought, as his skin once again was as flawless as his hate.
I see you have made yourself comfortable.
Purn turned as the voice filled the cabin of the G5 private jet.
Are you enjoying my hospitality?
An LCD screen on the wall was now active, displaying only the image of a lone shadow. A light blinked on a web cam, which he knew meant that it was now broadcasting his image to his anonymous host. Watching the image closely, Purn stood up and pointed his blade at the screen.
What is there not to enjoy.
Purn said waving his hand around the cabin.
Why don't you tell me who and where you are? I can come and thank you in person for all your help.
Purn said as he gave a bitter smile to the camera.
I think for the time being this is the best way for us to communicate.
Said the voice as a small laugh echoed through the room.
I'm fully aware of how your appreciation can manifest in painful ways.
Purn began the spin his blade in his hand. His eyes glinted as the light hit the steel lacing them. An electronic scrambler masked the voice hiding the person's sex. There was nothing to give him a clue as to who this person was and this vexed Purn even more. His urge to kill rising high inside him.
What's your game?
Purn asked as he lowered himself back into the seat. He stared at the screen. His raged masked with a demented crooked smile.
I merely want to offer my support to your cause. You did not seem to mind my help at the airport.
Purn shifted his weight in the chair. He thought back to the call he had received in the hanger just Moments before Becker had arrived. If it had not been for the explosions and the chaos from the fires that he was told would help in his escape, he would never have made it to the plane so easily.
How did you know I would be there in the first place?
Purn asked.
Let us just say I am blessed with heavenly insight. Plus I believe a man with your talents should not sit in a shit filled cell in the dark rotting away and wasting his abilities.
You seem well informed there chuckles.
Purn pointed out.
Knowing is half the battle they say.
There was that laugh again.
Let me guess,
Purn said. You think I'm going to be so grateful as to agree to work for you?
This time the laugh seemed to pierce straight to Purn's soul.
Again, I have no concern in diverting your agenda. I just want to help you in any way I can. We have similar goals, you and I. We both want what belongs to us. We want for the people who took what was rightfully ours to get what they truly deserve.
Purn cleaned his blade on his sleeve, his eyes never turning from the screen. His face was as cold as the metal running through his veins.
Look I don’t know you and I sure as fuck don’t trust you.
Purn said.
What makes you think I need you or anyone else?
Purn asked with menace in his voice.
Silence over took the cabin. Then finally the shadow spoke again.
To put it simply, I have two things you deeply want.
There was a pause as if for a dramatic effect. Purn shivered with rage.
First off, I know where your men are located.
Bullshit!
Purn screamed. He jumped to his feet and pointed the blade at the screen. His rage had broken through his icy front.
Willie was one of the few who knew the truth. Last of the ones to know what was done to me.
Purn spun around and slashed the top of his seat clean off.
He was the fucking key to this and he's dead.
Purn said. His mood switched instantly as a smile cracked on his face. Only person he is going to be telling anything too is Saint Peter.
Shadows shifted on the screen as the figure moved in their seat.
Then I suppose Portugal holds no meaning for you?
Said the figure
Who was now leaning close to the camera as the shadows blurred their face.
Purn sat up straight in his seat. His previous Intel gathering had suggested that one of the Level black prisons had been constructed in Portugal. However, He was never able to confirm it. His time working for the Sect had been useful in setting up this escape over the years and now his seeds of revenge were bearing fruit. His patients what little he had of it, was beginning to paying off.
I will take your shocked silence as a yes.
What's the second thing?
Purn asked. His curiosity had started to get piqued."
I can give you The Sect.
Now Purn was hooked. His eyes lit up with a hunger at the thought of getting close to The Sect. Of slicing them open and killing every one of them slowly. He stopped cold and stared at the screen.
What's in it for you?
Purn asked again. His blade again pointed at the screen. No one just decides to put their life on the line like this. This is the Sect you're fucking with.
I am more than aware of who I am dealing with. Trust that at any time I am willing to make any sacrifice to see this through."
Purn spun his blade and watched as the shadow shifted on the screen.
There is just one thing I want in return for aiding you.
"
Silence washed over the cabin again as Purn waited for his answer. As the voice spoke, there was a new tone coming through the speakers lining the screen. It was a tone of hate and malice. It was a tone of voice that Purn knew like an old lover. It was the tone of voice of a killer.
I want you to kill them all. I want you to make them beg for their lives. Before it's all over, I want to watch, laughing as their world burns at my feet.
Purn Laughed, his voice croaking throughout the plane. He stood to his feet and walked close to the screen.
Is that all?
Purn asked. I thought you wanted something difficult.
He walked back across the cabin and fell into his seat throwing his feet up on the table. I would have done that for a bowel of ice cream.
If you agree then, you will find everything you need to make your way to the first location in the overhead above the seats.
Purn reached and pulled down the cases Along with a parachute. He removed a GPS unit from the first case, which marked his location and his first set of waypoints.
If you leave now, you should be able to make the shore line by morning. Please feel free to clean up the loose end in the cockpit.
As the screen went dead Purn lifted the chute and strapped it on. He clipped the supply case to a tether line and made his way to the cockpit. Purn slid his blade from under his coat and
