Excerpt:
"On other occasions, he broke into victims’ homes and beat them to death or near death as they slept. He took trophies, including at least a dozen victims’ heads, which he kept in his apartment. He not infrequently visited his body dump sites; there he’d groom the victims’ decomposing corpses with cosmetics to make them look alive before having sex with them. He’s known to have said his rapes and murders weren’t about lust or violence; instead, they were about control."

Errors abound which is normally the case when Wikipedia is used as a source. Ted's final interviews, in particular his confessions to his stepson and attorney Diana Weiner, provide a much clearer picture of his crimes. Although exploited by writer Ann Rule Ted mentioned no relationship whatsoever from his afternoons at the call center. He seldom paid attention to women who failed to meet his standards of attractiveness. Which, of course, had nothing to do with parted hair in any fashion.

Possessed with above average memory, that he was quite proud of, Ted detailed his crimes to Miss Weiner in an exacting manner that is perhaps the most memorable of all his boasts. His final statement to Miss Weiner-in his trademark dismissive manner that took compartmentalization to a whole level-was his final snow job of blaming pornography-which he found hilarious.

On his final morning I recall radio stations playing the sound of bacon frying, along with a jingle:

    "On top of olé Sparky
    All loaded with juice
    Good bye to Bundy
    Fried like a goose"

Ted would have loved the attention as he knew 6,000 people were waiting outside the gate to cheer his demise.

Factual Information about Ted can be found at the FBI Vault, the Archives of the Florida District Attorneys Office, Florida Corrections database and the National Archives in Washington DC.
