If there was a single aspect of consistency amidst a swirling void of chaos it was human nature. Bonnie smirked at the thought as she approached the double doors leading into Eternity. The club’s logo was emblazoned upon their obsidian skins, depicting a woman’s silhouette entwined in the arms of a spiral galaxy she was reclining upon. The design was set in two kinds of stones: white for the woman’s figure, and amethysts for the stars in the arms weaving themselves around her. It was a sharp contrast to the severe background. She could see her reflection in the polished stone, a dark version of herself staring back, inviting her inside as it had so many others.

When she was only a few steps away the doors slid apart silently, leaving just enough room for her to pass through comfortably without breaking stride. The room she entered was dark: the thin shaft of light that the door allowed in quickly disappeared as they closed behind her. The room became as black as the void that filled the universe, swallowing her whole. A sensual female voice whispered "welcome to Eternity," in a low tone, sure to arouse the club’s more frequent visitors.

As first syllable of the club’s named breathed into the room light erupted from the walls. In the space before Bonnie a small galaxy coalesced, a hovering holographic image made of white pinpoints. It was a cleverly designed floor map of the rooms that the club’s usual clients would be most interested in. Most interestingly to Bonnie it also listed the names of the girls available at the moment, tracking their locations as small red stars wading through the sea of white. A few of the names were familiar to her: more than once she had been forced to pry her men away from the women of Eternity.

She was not, however, there to retrieve one of her bandits. In fact, she had come to visit one of her contacts. The women of the club were privy to secrets that she was not.

Stepping through the map of Eternity caused another door to open, allowing her into the foyer of the club. As she entered the room she caught the faint scent of perfumes, as exotic as existed in the Colonies. Bonnie knew that there were also pheromones in the air to ‘enhance’ the appeal of the girls who worked inside. The smell penetrated her, filling her lungs with every breath she took. She knew well the effect that the chemical cocktail had on those weaker willed than her: many of her bandits turned into slavering idiots the moment they entered.

Not that she could truly blame them; everything about Eternity had been created to turn it into the premiere gentlemen’s club in the Colonies, including the women who worked there. Long ago, before the war, a few ambitious individuals had used genetic engineering to enhance the attributes of certain women, carefully sculpting their forms to better please their clientele.

While the war had caused the technology to become lost, family lines had managed to preserve the desired genetic combinations that had made the club well known. Bonnie considered the entire process an abomination – breeding programs had controlled the lives of many generations and forced girls to grow into certain roles – but she could not deny that it had produced results.

Known across the Colonies as Sirens, for the call of their bodies was difficult to resist, the women of Eternity were stunning and suited to every taste imaginable. They ranged from petite to curvaceous, their bodies visions of perfection. They were well trained in the arts of seduction and purportedly never failed to please. Bonnie knew a fair bit of their craft, though she had never truly been put to the test.

The room was long, with small alcoves at set intervals along the walls. Shadowy corridors spiraled out from the lobby, leading to private rooms for clients. A bar stood at the far end, dominating the wall from edge to edge. During the evening it would play host to all sorts of men and women seeking thrills, but for now only a single barman stood behind
