I could not get enough! I read the back of the cereal box, Dickinson and Frost, magazines and newspapers, Mark Twain and Zane Grey - anything with writing was fair game! As soon as I was writing full paragraphs, I was writing fiction and poetry. I entertained my peers, family and teachers alike with my imaginative offerings. My first skit was a hit in sixth grade, a play about a boy pirate and a girl pirate! As I went through my teens, I became more particular about sharing my work. Something inside said this was my destiny and I became protective, fearing the wind would be taken from my sails if someone simply "didn't get it or didn't like it"...
When romantic themes began to enter into my writing, I became even more protective, only sharing with select few, unwilling to expose my deepest thoughts to just anyone.
After some years of searching half-heartedly through the Internet for digital publishing, I found Smashwords and was delighted when I published my first work, Without the River. It felt as if destiny had circled back to find me. I recently lost my mother, leaving me to do a lot of spiritual and emotional reevaluating, and feeling an almost urgent need to finally listen to the voice inside that has called me all these years.
I have a handful of other lesbian stories in the final editing stages as of this writing and will be publishing them very soon. If you have read Without the River, please be sure to leave a review - your opinion truly matters! If you have not yet read it, I hope you will download it now and enjoy! Thank you for supporting the eBook revolution and, please, check back soon!view less
