The Warrant

He was heaven’s premier scientist. Now defrocked of his position, the fallen angel named Case stares through the iron grate floor of his cell in the lowest section of hell, not knowing when it will spring open and send him hurtling into a flaming river.

Brought by an angel guard before no less than the Son of God, the disavowed technician unexpectedly receives a mission from The Lord of the Universe. Case is to come up with a way to prevent a renegade saint from facing an untimely judgment. The corrupted saint, one of earth’s public officials named Russell Lambott, has harmed too many humans for God to allow his life on earth to continue. Still, the crooked public servant is of special interest to heaven.

But what’s in the mission for him? Reluctantly assisted by Lambott’s guardian angels, Case finds himself compelled to use supernatural techniques in support of a task he’s pretty sure won’t benefit him in the slightest. Also desiring his services is the manipulative, rebellious Prince who persuades Case to make a side deal with him. Tormented with fear, doubt and apathy, Case must find the motivation to block "The Warrant."

I really published my first book in the 3rd Grade, titled, "Jchad Fininskee Takes Care of Everything," about a kilt-wearing dog who had to find and kill a rat in his friend's house. The cover was fabricated from an old shoe box. Illustrations were provided by the author. Since then, I have supported my writing habit with ranching, schoolteaching, antique trafficking, catering, Chili's table-serving, and political hackery. The latter experience includes time in the U.S. House, U.S. Senate, and many other types of campaign activiites. Along the way, I was featured in two documentaries for The History Channel: "Secret Missions of the Civil War" and "The Plot to Kill Jesse James." I have three children and live in my native Northeast Texas.
